has anyone mentioned increasing down time for damaged systems, right now as it is they seem to be damaged for an amount of time that makes it almost pointless to have damage as it is, i remeber a while back EMP cannons being fun to use since u never knew how the fight would go since random systems would go down and back up on both sides, just a thought that would in my opinion make ship battles more unpredictible and enjoyable..

System damage affects a variety of factors such as energy consumption, recharge rate, and even damage. You don't need to disable to cripple.

but it all boils down to energy consumption, i mean if your lasers for example become damaged, they might stay inopporable for a givin amount of time instead of just eating more energy.. or engines or steering..i think it would add depth if in combat you had the fear of losing cloak or propulsion all together or partly..ok thats the last ill speak of it, but it would add depth to combat..

And i read this correctly EMP only gets applied when hull is at 50%
Sounds strange, but i could be reading this wrong.
