News has it that one of the diplomats killed in Libya was an EVE player. it reminds us that many in our own Darkspace world are real people and some do amazing things but we only know them as....
To all those who have passed and couldn't tell us they were gone...

Amen to that, even though I havent played EVE for a while, someone who was as involved as he was in helping others will surely be missed.

answered a bunch of my questions about the Imperial Navy issue armagedon (amarr based battleship) just two weeks ago......

Makes you wonder. Since CCP probably heard of this, what will they do with his EVE account? pass it on to his family or just...delete it

an eve account is not like a ds account.
An eve account has a real monitary value to it.
If he has a super cap ship, its worth over 1500usd.
If he has a titan, thats worth over 4000usd.
Since he was a diplimat, the value of his contact lists, and notes has potentualy limetless value to someone wanting to expand their soverenty.
In short, this account could potentialy have enuff monitary value to pay for a really nice funeral.
Not to mention the sentimental value.

I'm sure a preserve attempt can be made by the developers in such a National service case.
It would be good for EVE to lock the account in a manner fitting a memorial.
