atheros can have problems with WPA security without the latest updates:)
also i got pretty mych the same statistics, only 2GB video card, a laptop, for 730 euro:) hehe. webshops rule

runs almost any game maxxed out

One from the walmart.
Specs:
Crashes most of the times.
Lags at even Pac Man.
Spell checker fails.
Even more lag.
5KB of RAM.
0.7GhZ processor.

ok here are my specs:
AMD ADVENT Centurion
AMD Phenom 9650 Quad Core 2.30 GHz
4GB RAM
64 bit Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium
ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
21" widescreen monitor
600 GB Hard Drive Space
8 USB slots
CD/DVD RW
4 slots for different types of SD cards (but not one for Mini SD cards)
For Everything above it only cost me £300
4 speaker 1 sub sound system (or old X1 turtlebeach headset)
I also have an old Toshiba satellite which has XP Halo theme on it (I mean it's really old) and was given it.
I even have an old base station that i used for Darkspace (which is now only used for old games and streaming the net) also given to me.
I also have 2 broken laptops also was given to me.

I have pretty close to the same thing, just instead:
ASUS G73Sw Notebook.
CPU: Intel i7-2630QM @ 2.0GHz (and turbo to about 2.8GHz, not sure of the exact number)
GPU: nVidea Geforce GTX460M Cuda 1.5GB
Needless to say, it runs DS amazingly easily.
It's definatly a step up from my old laptop with the ATI Turion II and 256 AMD graphics
