Ideally your primary email address. Google+ doesn't require you to have gmail

Would this Google+ thing have anything to do with my email address showing up on my google search page even though I never gave it my address or any form of permission to have my address?
Edit:
Never mind this, I think it has something to do with youtube. [ This Message was edited by: Squish on 2011-07-09 23:58 ]

Some of my localized community forum stated that G+ features are not new and are FB's under new names.
Google has done some marvelous works but up to now, they haven't made any successful project with social network. I think, unless G+ surpasses Twitter and Facebook, it maybe drops behind just like Wave.

Google+ is Googles third attempt to unseat facebook as the Social mecca...
So far the only inovative thing they have going for them is "circles". Which contrary to what Google is telling you, is not new. Friendster, Tribe, even the old yahoo profiles tied to the old chat rooms in the 90's and cell phones for the last decade have had the same idea...
Facebook all of your personal, business, and family contacts are grouped in on catch all group (even though you can put people in sub groups, these dont matter except for you to find them faster). You share something on Facebook your choices are, share it with noone, just friends, or everyone.
Google+ Circles (old concept really) lets you create multiple clusters and groups of people in your life. You can put all your business coworkers and boss in one, family in another, and friends in another.
This way you can share that tasteless joke or picture that you dont want your parents or kids to see. You can share your burning man pictures with your family and friends but not worry about your boss and co-workers seeing you all decked out in a bad remake of the 80's throwing up on a MadMax film...
For everything you do, you can select which groups can see what you post allowing you to segment off different parts of your life on your social media site.
Google has tried and failed twice before to one up Facebook. I have a feeling that this might actually tip facebooks hand so that they allow you to break up groups of people too.
The cavet against Google+ is that it tracks EVERYTHING you do. If you are logged into your profile it will track all of your internet web browsing and searches all in the name of creating a personal marketting profile of you to direct advertisements (and which they sell).

Pretty much like Facebook, then, although I suspect you're overplaying the "GOOGLE TRACKS ALL OF YOUR WEB BROWSING" thing, which it only does if you're logged in and on a google webpage, which makes it hard for them to track everything you do.
Similarly, Facebook keeps track of all of your groups and friends and basically everything facebook related and sells directed advertising.
