So what you up to this weekend (or any of the next 3)?

I'm marching as a member of the 501st Legion down in Orlando, FL. I'm holding the Florida Garrison banner at the head of the Legion (first guy, front right - practically can't see my face until I'm past this camera shot).
Next chance I get to hold the banner, I'll have to try to hold it further away. Had a lot of trouble just seeing ahead of me to march.

The rules are pretty strict. We're the bad guys - we scowl at everyone. No waving, no interaction at all with the Disney guests -- for the 501st Legion Members. Now, the Rebel Legion members (Jedi's, etc), they're allowed to interact.
One of the amusing parts of the story is Linda "Skywalker". Apparently she's a huge fan...I mean stalker, of George Lucas and everything Star Wars. When the march starts, all you have to do is look right (at the gate that opens) and there she is, in black, carrying a lightsabre. Of course, it's a bit surprising she can even get into the park after interrupting the march in 2007 and then there's the restraining order George Lucas had to get. I don't get the connection, but she's also stalking the High School Musical crew.
I guess there is such a thing as being too much into something.

1. Nice parade
2. Yes you were holding the banner in a bit of an obstructive fashion
3. You guys need a drill instructor to teach the entire 501st how to march (the younglings maintained better rank and file)..... I expect more from Imperial Troops. General Veers would be mortified.
Off topic you guys did good on uniforms in variety and completeness.... hat's off.

Imagine the nerve! The REBELS, those rebelling against LEGAL AUTHORITY, are the good guys. The legal authorities, who are funded, equiped, trained, and the first line of defense for the Empire are the bad guys! This is wrong, sirs.
How many stormtroopers, pilots, engineers, and security gaurds have these rebels murdered? These people left their homes to defend the Empire, and they didnt ask for monuments. The least we could do is not allow their murderers to be hailed as heros!
They had the power of the ballot, but losing that, the rebels took up arms. That makes them criminals, not heros!
And if you cant detect humor, then go outside and hit yourself in the face with a hammer immediately please.
