Took me four years at university and a lot of suffering, kicking, screaming, and insisting that the universe is wrong (I was wrong each time, I later figured out.), but I am officially graduating tomorrow!
I have earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I am graduating with a 3.72 GPA, and I am VERY good at what I do.
When I am done making my billions... with a 'b', expect a lot of money towards DS development. I will see to it that the game is completely scrapped and reconstructed fresh (not to change everything, but after so many patches and updates and developments of new technology it would seem that a fresh start would clean up the code and fix bugs).
People always want to know future plans of graduates, but I really don't have much of one. My entire life goals were built around going to college and becoming an engineer. All I know for certain now is that I am going to get 2 kittens as soon as I find a job and a place to live. They are gonna be the cutest danged things you ever did see. I will likely hit grad school for a master's and maybe even a PhD, but for now I am broke and I need cash, so it's off to work for me.
My thanks goes out to the DS community that made for my safe haven and source of many friendships throughout my four rough years.
I know there are a great many of us that are engineers, some of which are still in school like I was. Anyone else graduating or graduated in the past year or so? [ This Message was edited by: Kanman on 2010-05-09 13:56 ]

Four years is nice!
You have to pay for the master yourself?

I'm not paying for my master's. With the GPA I came into school with (3.86 from an associate's degree), and the GPA I maintained at this school, I should never have had to pay for these past four years.
The engineering department approached me.... roughly 7 times about going into the master's program. I told them if they find the money, I am in. Then came back with pathetic offers like 'maybe' and 'we will see', acting like the only way they could pay it for me was through research grants, when I know full well half of my class got free rides these past four years and had lower GPAs than mine.
Besides, their graduate studies department doesnt really interest me. This school focuses more on thin film lithography and laser data theory. While these are very important to the future of electrical engineering and computer engineering, I could give 2 flips about that subject matter. I will look for a graduate school with a good robotics/spaceships department.
