Somewhere I had a VERY handy program that did the job, but I cant remember where I put the thing. What I'm looking for is a simple program tool that tells me what my computer system has, and can tell me what upgrades I can upgrade to, i.e. tells me what my RAM is and the maximum my system can support.
I'm looking to upgrade my GeForce 7300LE to a possible GeForce 9500 GT, although that big a boost might have its own share of issues. My 305W power supply will probably be insufficient. If I can do that, that will then for sure mean I could run just about anything I wanted short of the more demanding games, excluding those requiring Vista. Also I THINK the program I had said I can have a max of 2 GB of RAM but according to DELL's tech specs of the E521 I can have up to 4GB...which would be really nice.
My system is a:
XP Home
Dell Dimension E521
AMD Athlon 64 x2 4000+ 2.1 GHz
2 GB DDR2 533 MHz (to 4 GB is possible)
GeForce 7300 LE (would like to upgrade to GeForce 9500 GT if possible)
305W Power
---------
I found EVEREST 2.2, and it tells me what I have, but the one tool I cannot find actually gave me detail on my system. EVEREST doesn't seem to tell me my RAM speed and whatnot in the same kind of useful detail.

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I liked to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Arc

That one certainly gives more detail than EVEREST. Just doesn't tell me what I'd like to know that the lost program did about what the max my MB will support. It'd be alot simplier if I could remember the name of program I'm looking for since I KNOW I have it somewhere. Thanks though, at least the BelArc will give me a starting point.
