This has NOTHING to do with DS, so keep your whining to a minimum and shut your yaps unless you have something fun to say.
This is for you hobby freaks. I made a rocket, I always went R/C but I got bored and made a rocket from scratch at work. I used a McMaster Carr shipping tube. I order lots of stuff from those guys. They rule, anyhoo.... I got me a "G" potassium oxide engine and went from there. I may make a sugar rocket soon with potassium nitrate.
Materials:
Tube: shipping cardboard tube
Fins: Vacum formed from balsa carvings i made ( not in pics yet )
Engine housing: Bent spring steel, and smaller cardboard tube, plus laser cut styrene for fin mounts i made here at work on an Epilog 32EX laser system I run often.
Rocket base: 1/8" steel, plasma cut and parts drafted in Adobe Illustrator. Kinda angular parts but it is needed for the old software we have to run our 15'X25' CNC plasma cutter, it still rocks! Base needs painted still and a rod coupling needs welded still.
Cone: 3-D printed ABS plastic with a honey comb core from our 3-d printers...they run about 60K each printer and we have 15.
Color: White Pro-Block base for water proofing, CNC cut black vinyl adhesive for black checkering.
Not quit finished yet, im gonna mod a disposable digi camera into a cam corder and mount it inside, and i have an LED system I want to install.
Goal: 5,000 feet. I should get there. Im wiring up a simple altimeter at work to get my stats.

When I first read the subject of this thread, I thought that you were trying to hookup online with people of the female persuasion on DarkSpace.
I was disappointed by what I found. You didn't give me anything to make fun of.

or, you know, you could ask the local police. That would be the smart idea.
Also, to make this darkspace worthy, screw balance and make it look an EAD.

And I don't like police, i have felt their hand cuffs and batons before...screw them.

yeah i remember making those.. out of computer paper.. in fifth grade... when it was kinda cool
haha just kidding that thing looks pretty nice. just dont do what we used to and seal the nose-cone so the 'chute cant deploy basically making it a javalin. kids dont make their fun anymore its all computer games and psychedelic drugs; i blame all that rap music they listen to :
