all I see is a Rhino humping a high heel on top of a confederate flag while a Pig grows an alligator mouth in black and white.

they all have the same template, knight helmet on top, with a frill around the shield thingie...the only thing that differs is the colors and what is on the shield thingie.....

Thats pretty much what a coat of arms is... its like a flag of sorts for your family name.

After a tad bit of research looking at the many different variants for the family crest for Dixon; They all seem to share a common theme except for a few. My theory is that it would seem that an original crest existed and new family branches where created a variant of the crest was made for the specific branch, or something to that effect.
This shows what could have been an original design.
