HORRAY another idea from me any ways i was just thinking that it would b kinda neat to have a Point def fighter, it would have a recharge time inbetween a SSR/EWAS and a normal fighter and there would b 3, like the sensor fighters. The way they would work is you would launch them in a combat situation and they would fly around your ship and when a missle or fighter comes into range would fly out to destroy it when there were no more targets it would return to the bay. it mite bring lag hell down on us all or just mite be too useless but i just thought it would look kinda neat.

This is basically what the interceptors will be once fully implemented. You can make, buy, and install them but they do not work as intended.

plus, how does lag (by implication created from volumes of missiles and fighters) get fixed by adding MORE fighters?

100 missiles
add 10 fighter that each shoot down 5 missiles
=50 missiles and 10 fighters
=less lag
math rocks!
