I thought I had posted this once but could not find it... I remember the days of my youth walking along the 3 square block area in my hometown that was filled with houses with tons of lights on them. I swear you could have seen this little christmas block party from space because there was so many lights on all these houses... I was impressed....
Then cam computers and mens desire to one up everyone else in the neighborhood. Check this out and comment as you want... This is not a fake...

I was amazed at the work this guy did...
If you want the whole story about his work then you need to go here... This is the first webpage but there are follow-on links to other stuff about him and his work.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas...

Typical american, always have to get something "better" than the neighbour, even if it means going over the top.
Just awful IMHO

um, no, not the typical american. around where I live, people don't usully put up lights or decorations because they would most likely get stolen...

Typical American? Uhh, no. Everyone does this, not just Americans. This though, isn't a cse of having bigger and better.

I hate to say this, but it's not "typical American"'s, because, we have much bigger displays here in England. It's just a festive thing.

The one upmanship was just my opinion of the event. If you want to know more about why he did it then follow the second link.
It never fails to amaze me there is always someone ready to bash someone else for their creativity.

if that was my neighbour, i would probably have ripped out whatever wiring he had outside and shoot at everything that flickers light.
i mean man, how can whoever lives there sleep during the night?

I highly doubt he has it go off all the time. As for the original post, hah. I wouldn't trust that at all.
(I mean, it's Rocko, since when do we trust Rocko with anything? ; ) <3 )

Okay... what did somebody say about Americans trying to one-up eachother?...
Anyways... Maybe that guy just wanted to see what he could do, or to make something people would want to look at... other than all the piss poor jobs most other people do...
Or maybe hes one of those guys that program the lights for concerts and stuff... and was bored?...

They are having a dedicated place this year with wooden faces of buildings... that way you can have the lights put up so it looks like they are on a building... and since they are out in a open air area all the flashing lights do not bother people....
I would like to see the videos for this year when they get them done...
