Make sure to read down near the end. It's sad what some people have done just because they hate this guy...

I started using it when IE kept crashing for no apparent reason a couple of years back. I just ended up sticking with Firefox because I found it a fair bit more user friendly, that and I'm lazy.
I don't really care much about the claims of other users and how it can reduce your weight as part of a calorie-controlled diet, I just find it neat and useful and that's all I really need.

http://www.avantbrowser.com
Currently taking the world by storm, and they've just released the 2006 version. Runs on a tweaked IE engine, with tabs, popup blockers, ad blockers, and all sorts.
Great thing with Avant, is it doesn't try to restrict memory, meaning it loads up quickly, and closes itself just as fast. Opening many tabs will make it use more memory (about 40 megs per 5 tabs depending on use of flash and such), but as soon as you close the tab, it removes all the memory used, and there's no slow down. I love the thing to death, mostly because I can use ctrl+n to open a new tab instead of a ctrl+t (I like the ctrl+n because I used to use it a lot for new window). There is also an ability to upload your bookmarks to a remote server, so no matter if you format, Avant will ALWAYS remember your bookmarks, which is sweet. I urge those of you who like IE to give it a go, as it's basicly just a suped up version.
I even got Josef hooked on the thing.
[edit] I forgot to mention, if you have IE7 installed, it'll use that engine instead .

Been using Avant for a while now. Don't have any plans on switching to anything else. Like jack said its fast and convienent. Being able to go back and forth from pervious pages using Hold right mouse button + click Left button is great, or vise versa to go the other way. Best browser I have use yet.
