Well, maybe not, but astronomers are having a huge get-together to vote on what is and isn't a planet in the solar system.
Pluto's expected to stay as a planet, but, interestingly, Charon (its moon) might be upgraded to a planet.
Another planet further out (and larger) than Pluto might also be upgraded.
Finally, in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, one of the asteroids, called Ceres, might also become a planet.
Bringing the total from nine to twelve.
News article here.

I doubt they'll be making Charon a planet, that would basicly require upgrading our moon, titan, triton and a few others to planet status and I doubt that's going to happen since most people consider a planet to be something orbiting the sun, not just something orbiting something. Last time I looked they were just looking to add a few objects beyond pluto to the planet list.

Actually, they would not have to upgrade the other moons to planet status. The shared center of gravity between Earth (Terra) and Luna is beneath the Earth's surface, which disqualifies Luna. I believe the same issue disqualifies Titan, but it may actually be something else.

I always thought it was pretty simple... planets orbit stars, moons orbit planets. What they need to do with pluto & charon is see how their orbits relate to eachother & to the sun, see if one is orbiting the other while the one being orbited is orbiting the sun with little to no variation in its path due to the other.
If anything, Charon gets promoted to Planet, Pluto demoted to Moon. Thats about it.
