so making fun of current events is against the roc.
well i had my say now a word from the land of the free and the brave.
"Censorship" have fun over there in your dictatorship of opnions.
did i mention i just love Cartoons espicial MAD to bad they soon gone be outlawed overthere.
next they come for the computergames you know .....

It was about religion and probably would of sparked religious debate (since the whole thing is about religion), and if you check the RoC, that is against the rules...

Since this is the internet, and not a country, there is no 'free speech' here. Faustus owns this place, and the chat room, and the server it's hosted on, and he's free to patrol whatever rules he wants over this place, aslong as they fall under certain laws.

It wasn't censored, it was locked to stop a religious debate starting up and flaring a whole bunch of opinions and etc. The whole reason things like that are locked and hushed away is because they spark things that get a lot of people angry and upset, so it's easier just to lock and it and be done with it.

Since this is the same as religion, it sort of conflicts with other peoples views. Some people believe they are amazing pieces of hardware, perfectly designed for shooting stuff. Others believe they are horrible weapons of war designed to hurt people, and want no more to do with it. Daylights thread (abotu a year ago now) is a perfect example, and shows us how many people have different views on them.

Knowing Ragg, you'll probably come back with some sort of "Barkey isn't a mod lololol". No, but I'm an admin at a quite prestigious business, and they deal with things like this everyday (on a much larger scale), and I believe I have some experience with things such as this.
Believe it or not, the internet isn't just one country. It's not Germany, it's not America, it's not England. As such, laws from each and every country must be obeyed (there's actually a very, very, very long list of laws from each country that a company has to abide by (not to be confused by hosting laws)). Now, I've mentioned it once in this thread, and I'll mention it again, Faustus owns this place. He owns the server it's run on, and as such, he can add rules of his own to this place to make it a fun and peacefull place. And because of that, he can punish people for breaking those rules.
You could of sparked something of religious debate, and whilst some people think it's just a few words, another might think it's an essay against their whole beliefs. The internets a wierd place, and rules like those in the RoC are there to make it a better place for us, the players.

hmm let me see first
dident speak of my opnions on the subjects other than
1. postet a joke about the vp hunting thing (see that dangerus stuff funny enugh incl guns)
2. 2 guys with a death whish no matter what subject thats allways funny if you see the thing.
3. link to a site that post editorial cartoons from around the world
4. paper want to make a cartoon contest
thats not a debate just fun stuff i pointet to.
do the posting of links to cartoons of anykind start a fatwa now ?
and making it more fun is the reaction i just got that just confirmed a thing or to from the resent debates going around.
