This happens with every online "bank" service. Its just a lot more people use paypal, so there are alot more chances of things going wrong.
I have been a paypal customer for years...works fine, I wont be changing.

Don't be nieve and don't say I didn't warn you. They havent screwed me either yet and I will not give them a chance. Nor should you!
Something you MUST know is that Paypal is NOT a bank but acts like one. They ARE NOT bound by federal regulations like banks are! Thay CAN AND WILL do whatever they want with your money without notifying you!

If you fail to see my point than you need to either close your paypal account...
And you may want to be a little less condescending.

If you allow others access to your bank account, your credit card, you are taking risks. Use pay-by-cash and no worries m8. Otherwise dont complain when you lose......

I close my eyes, and imagine the hackers in some 3rd world country, cracking thier knuckels as they get ready to start working the English accounts some insider stole for them.

the fact that paypal can freeze your account and take your money for no reason at all isn't a good enough reason? maybe if they burned the money in front of your house one day too?

Dont believe you for one second, read the sites and all. I use paypal for alot of things, and over the past five years or so, never seen any money spent other than what I bought. Same with any other people I know with it. Face it, these are all crackpot stories set up by former emploies who where fired, and want to get back at paypal.

Actually, the sites hosting the "Paypal Warnings" are entirely correct. Paypal as a rule of thumb makes it's money by seizing "shady accounts",. It's in the EUA, they can seize the money, at any time they wish, for any reason and hold it, indefinately.
There have been many documented accounts of peoples accounts being seized and bank accounts being emptied. I have no idea why, or what the circumstances where, I don't even remember where I read about them. But you will hear alot of paypal horrer stories, alot of them true, alot of them embelished.
Either way, I've had a Paypal account for many years, never once have I had one single problem, that isn't to say I won't, but as yet, no problems here. Of course, it would seem that alot of the problems arrise from ebay sellers/buyers of disputes, goods not being sent, or refusals, etc. This seems to account for many of the problems, and as I do not sell on ebay, It's never been an issue for me.

"Well I would throw this back on you with a thought. Paypal services millions of transactions a day. Heck, I have a Paypal credit card. P.P. has been in business for more than a couple of years and has grown quite a customer base. This does not mean they don't make mistakes or that they are always right. Heck my wife bought a Volkwagen and the windshield leaked right from teh factory. I may start a VW sucks website or I may see how this works out in teh long run.
So, should you head those sites and their messages? That is entirely up to you. There is prolly a real gripe behind that site. However, it is hard to know the real story there. Paypal is regulated by teh way. Because they deal with credit cards, and actually have their own credit card line, you better believe they have standards they must maintain or Master Card, Visa and the rest would dump them. "

" Talking of pay pal theres was another similar company that someone mentioned on the forums.
greenzap or summat like that, Read an article about them recently, Anyhows to cut a long story short, its conclusion was dont touch them with a bage pole, the whole thing stunk of scam. "
