if you have the option of rebinding a joystick button to a key, ie. making trigger/button1 be the space bar, button2 as E, button3 as R, that sort of thing, then you might be able to make it work

got to agree.....you need a software to bind your gamepad keys to keyboard keys, I prefer GameWizard

Possible to make a program to monitor the joystick and then send keys to DS to make the game work with any joystick. I think it violates the ROC a bit though. Moderators?

Darkspace DOES NOT support joysticks or gamepads.

I haven't tried it but I know I can bind DS to my gamepad.
The software for it lets me bind all 13 buttos to whatwever I want, or I can do it backwards. THe dual joysticks are pretty cool to for controlling the mouse.

There isnt anything that prevents you using other methods of input to play darkspace. Programs that automate game processes (IE bots and Macros) ARENT allowed. Programs and software that allows you to use a joystick or other input device in place of a keyboard/mouse are allowed, although they are in no way supported by PaleStar.

I don't know about that joystick in particular, but when I got my PS2 style gamepad from Logitech, it came with software to bind the gamepad buttons to keys. Played DS with it, but I'm just more comfortable with the keyboard.
You might be able to get the logitech software to work with your joystick, check their website.

Just think that way....
Why would it be forbidden
I tried it once, it does give you a disadvantage over the other players....no advantage
