Well, seeing as how my sub runs out in a few days, I figured I'd give the MV a shot one last time. Having been disappointed by nothing but ELFers & ship respawners I got fed up.
But what to do about it... hey, why not be like everyone else! Can't beat 'em? JOIN 'EM!
Missile dread is a fun ship... but how to tweak it... Oh yes, with 9 flux waves.
10 minutes + 2 logging time later, TA DA! The SS Butt Crack was christened, and made my way to the current system of oppertunity - BD.
Three seconds in, I jump to some poor dessy (having warned teamies to back away 250gu) - slammed the V key with all my uber leet might - and watched him EJump away. Recharge wait... one guy dies, another guy almost dies & runs away screaming, to die later.
Oo! Someones attacking a planet a ways off! Jump to him, V! Some of his bombs land - his troops make it down (gotta love that bomber & transport all in one!) but not before he is completely... erm... flux0red. Woo hoo! The reinforcements arrive! They head to finish him off... whats this? A lone dessy out in space! Oh, but someones on his way there (Curse you Taxi! Thanks for not shooting me!  ).
Another chance! The dessy jumped to a friendly planet! Align, align, align... maybe I shoulda used a missile cruiser! Jumping! w00t w00t!
Get there, going full speed to compensate for dictor range... but wait! A flash, a quick breeze of red... HE'S JUMPED TO ME! What luck!
V! Awww... and his engines were stopped, and he was 50gu away from me! Circle back around... pluck away with CL2ks, psi cannons, and those pesky M7s! CTRL-D... closer, closer... LAG LAG LAG! Times up... LAG LAG LAG! BOOM! Two for one! I killed a flux hog (nice word!) & a little elfling-in-training with one boomba!
They say don't knock it till you've tried it... well I've tried it and I've never A) felt so dirty B) gotten so much combat pres in so short a time and C) wanted to quit & blow up my ship more since I started playing DS.
Well.. theres always beta & 483...

if my fleet did not prohibit the use of more than 2 flux on a ship I would have a flux claw and flux siphon on stand by with Mousey's name on it, and I suppose yours too now.

i'd try that but i like hitting from long range or SDing on top of me enemies in a fully modded EAD while popping off P torp salvos till i go off

You do know that flux kills reloads too, right? lol

The only occasion on which flux completely debilitates a ship with reloads (like a station) is if you're below 50 hull.
Above 50 hull, you get fluxed, systems go down, just prioritize your reload, once it's at 1% you can start reloading all your systems, and unless you get hit by more flux, or EMP, the system's won't take any further damage.
This all changes if you drop below 50 hull, at which point your systems start taking damage from normal weaons. At this point, if you are fluxed and remain under constant fire, there's no repairing your systems, period.
