But then I figured that something like this is bound to get around in a place like this, no matter who I tell, no matter how I tell it. All I ask is that you read all of this, and here it is.
In all its simplistic glory, I'm bisexual. Yep, you read right.
And now, of course, you're wondering why I'm telling you this, to people I don't really "know." It's a good question, but the reason is simple enough, to me at least. I began to question it myself some time ago, began to talk about it privately with others sharing similar experiences and gave it some serious thought. The conclusion of those talks and my own long pondering is obvious.
I have few opportunities to talk to "real" people about this. I don't really have any friends close enough to confide this in, the nervousness not withstanding. So I decided to take this in small steps and in a much more relaxing and generally accepting atmosphere; specifically this game and several other communities I have become a part of. The relative anonymity alone does wonders. I have already told several of my oldest "online" friends recently and have just now decided to tell you, all of you. I'm trying to slowly build up my confidence with this, telling those that I interact with on an almost daily basis but also don't have an impact on my immediate life.
Like I said, I would have prefered to keep this more private, but I think this might be the best way in the long run, hearing it from the horse's mouth instead of having to deal with the "So-and-so told me...!"
To those of you I don't know well or are just visiting this forum, I hope you can take this in stride. To those of you I've known for years, I hope this doesn't change a thing.

Did I ever tell you about the time I took a vacation to Key West and we got there in the middle of the Gay Pride festival? I know this is totally off topic.. but still... it was kinda funny
All the shops and tousit attractions were closed the entire week, and they had parades all day long. It kinda wasted our vacation. Oh well
And Tbone. I don't mind if nobody else does. It doesn't really bother me.

Well, good for you. It changes nothing.
I am personally a strong advocate against discrimination by sexual preference. I also believe that its silly to be homophobic in any way. I think the reason for homophobia is that people invision gays as perverts who only want to seduct you into getting their own erotic pleasure. Personally, that's somewhat thick. Its not like heterosexual guys solely try to seduct women to act as tools for their own erotic pleasure (hmm...bad example...).
So in reality, my outlook is that there is no difference between straights, gays, and bis, except for sexual preference. Its not that now that they've been proven gay that they'll hit on EVERYONE of the same sex. Its not like heteros do that.
So Tbone, if you are worried about telling this to your real-life friends, I understand. It is difficult sometimes to divulge such controversial secrets (especially in this discriminatory world of ours), but I think it is a step in the right direction to at least let it out to someone. If only people could open their eyes...

Nothing changed here. Still the same EvE-playing, early 90's hiphop listening, cheesy head you've always been.

"In a perfect world, everybody would be bi-sexual"
I don't know who said it - for some reason I'm thinking Mick Jagger - but it doesn't matter; it is true in it’s own right - who ever said it.
The freedom of having a spirit that can find happiness and expression with a partner of any gender willing to reciprocate is a genuine gift of Nature.
The anxiety you feel about your off-line “friends” may be just that – anxiety. If they react unfavorably to your confession then they really weren’t your “friends” in the first place – you’re better off without them. Believe me, I know the feeling – I’ve traveled the path. I’ve also been blessed with friends who have unconditionally accepted me for who I am. I’m sure your true friends will do the same.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” .. R.W. Emerson
