First off, DarkSpace is NOT shutting down...
DarkSpace is a labor of love for me, and I will continue to put all my efforts and time into additional content and patches, rest assured. However, I've got a mortgage, bills, credit cards, etc just like everyone else and those bills have got to get paid....and as many of you already know I've been doing contract work to make ends meat.
This is why I just accepted a full time position with 2015 games, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and this is the reason why Palestar is moving. 2015 is a very good company, and they have given their blessing to my continued work on DarkSpace. Many other game companies, would NOT have been ok with this, and would have required that I shut it down.
My highest priority at this point, is the project/bug system and other improvments to the development process (i.e. making resourcer work over the internet). Obviously, my time will be split betwen my full-time work, and DarkSpace, so I want to make it as efficient as possible for the development team to continue to work.
I want to assure everyone I will be doing as much as possible to keep the game running and going for a long long time to come.
There is another possibility as well, of 2015 getting involved in DarkSpace. They are unwilling to commit as of yet, but if they did it would mean very good things for DarkSpace. The only way this will happen is if the game continues to grow, and that is entirely up to you guys.... 
Our move date is the 20th of this month, this will NOT affect the game servers, but the bug reporting system will be offline for a few days around this time.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support of DarkSpace, I hope you stick around for a while to come...

how does this not shut down servers for atleast a day?  but i gotta love it cuz it's moving a state closer to me  I live in VA,

The servers are staying in Austin, TX.... I'm moving, and since the bug reporting system is at my home, that will be down for a few days.

You should of applied to Torus in Australia, they are looking for good programmers, we would have had ya with open arms
Ah well, if 2015 ever give ya flack, give us a tinkle! Good luck wit the move and getting back into a game development company, it'll be funny to hear the stories about your first few days

Hey thats great to hear Faustus. As a subscribing player, I do want my moneys worth, but I also don't want you or your family to starve just so I'm happy. Hope you get paid reasonably.

How is that Girbel anyway Make sure you bring lots of fluff and lint with you to keep him warm as I hear it can be pretty cold in the winter time
