You can no longer promote a clan member to admin unless they have a validated email address.

Yeah, I've already started thinking about different ranks within the clan... would be very cool if those ranks would carry over to what they could do in-game as well... i.e. Governer, allows them to modify planets, Commander allows them to create fleet missons, etc..

Im gonna say flat out, bad idea...

I speak from experience that rank systems in a clan are better left in the imagination. Creating ranks would subtract fun from the game and make everything to official. Its better to let the members sort things out amongst themselves instead of having pre-defined roles, pre-defined rolls can make the game seem to much like work.

I could go on about this but at 4 in the morning i aint gonna

Why not have promotions within the fleet an option by the fleet creator(s) to turn on or off? Some fleets and players may like the structored approach and may want to have rank within a fleet, while others may not. A broad and blanket approach may not be the best answer.

Thats also a very good solution.
A lot of fleets love to play as a team but hate the fleet ranks.
