I have convinced a friend at trying to model some ships, what are the poly limits for each class?

I think devs only really hand out stuff like that (specs, textures and limits and such) to certain people.
Maybe a test model to demonstrate your friend's skill?
But still, I think dread polys are around 1.4k to 2k. But I'm pulling that number off of memory from months ago so meh .

Just ignore me I guess, the devs are way cooler about this than I thought they were .
