Hello.Hope everyone is having a great time.I'm a total newbie to DS,but very impressed so far.Just wanted to greet everyone.I look forward to learning more & getting to know you all.Read the manual & FAQ,took notes,read several forum posts...still jumped into a planet...lol.
Having fun though & hope to soon have half a clue what I'm doing.So if you see me flying around space,seemingly at random & lost...I probably am,but feel free to say hi anyway.Have fun & happy hunting.

We all hope you enjoy yourself, the game itself can seem a little daunting at first but you'll get over that with time and patience, there are lots of great guys in here who would be more than willing to help answer any questions you might have, also and i must stress this if you feel the need to ask a question just ask never be afraid to ask we would much rather you ask then sit and miss out on everything the game has to offer.

That's ok.A little drama is inevitable when groups of folks deal with each other.On the bright side,it cant be anywhere as bad as a typical day in WoW's trade chat.lol
Yes;I play WoW,also LOTRO,DDO(just a little)& tried EVE out at one point.Been looking for a good sci-fi starship combat game.Come from a background of pen & paper wargaming & always loved this genre.Anyone remember Starfire or Starfleet Battles?

Thanks for all the friendly responses by the way.I generally check out a games forums before checking out games & I was very happy with the ratio of decent,friendly & helpful posting to jerk posting.That's one thing that appealed to me.I dont mind getting blown out of space now & then,just dont want constant asinine,offensive commentary in the background while its happening,lol.
