Okay, so I geuss I'm just posting this here so I have something to copy over to my site.. But hey, it should have it's topic here too.
Alright, lets start with the basics. Your new, and you've got your brand new shiney ICC Bomber Destroyer. You know how to upgrade already, and you see a planet just ready to be hit by a few of your bombs! Only problem is, you dont know the speed you have to go for your upgraded bombs, and you've never faced a planet with this kinda firepower. Lets say you've chosen Ghext in BD+4344. It's a tough nut to crack, full K'luth Defense II Bases. These things can hurt!
Well, heres a guide on how to bomb planets like these.
First off, what speed do you need to go?
Alright. Remember that Mirvs/Teles/Neutrons are the only bombs that increase in speed when you upgrade them, Bio bombs stay at 15gu.
Okay, so you've got the speed down! Your rollin now, ready to bomb. But WAIT! You dont know how to attack the planet right, and you know those beams will hurt. Okay, dont get within 550gu of a K'luth Planet, or UGTO too. Their beams can blast your ship to peices if you do. You can usualy land enough bombs on the planet to get the job done.
Alright. So you know not to get within a certain range.. now, which angle should you attack? Should you go straight at it, or find a way to attack it's angle? Go with the angle, you'll have more time to cover the bombs on most planets, and you wont have to deal with alot of turning away. Remember, less turning means less time in striking range of the planet!
Alright, so your about set. All you need to do is get up to the right speed to be able to cover your bombs, and then your gonna be able to jump in and do the 'dirty' work!

Ugh, it's so easy to bomb, with 1 bomber corvette you can take some planets, 3 or 4 scouts cooperating you can pretty much blow any planet you want to hell.
Nice guide though, I like the diagrams.

You just described my favorite kind of bombing.
Good Times
All bombs depicted are Neutrons. No Buildings were harmed in the making of this image.

We have done these scout formations on entire clusters. the ECM is so great, and the ships so small that there is NEVER a single shot fired from any planets. Teamwork has its advantages.
