hers a suggestion.....why not worry over fixing the client/server issues first....cause its not gonne be a fair game if 1 or both sides get max lagged like lately.I am NOT taking TS to any events til then. Thanks for the thought tho.

Considering this event will involve 14 players max per duel dueling each other and there are no planets involved in the duel, lag shouldn't be much of an issue at all plunged.

We cant do anything about the game itself, we only want to make something thats not the same as otherwise. This is not a whine post, and I will be deleting any other whining whether or not it is linked to this event. Keep in mind, we're volunteers, trying to boost morale and have people have a good time here in DS. We are not the Developers.

Ditch the Jumping rules else your giving an unfair advantage to kluth Dessie Fleets who can just constantly run away from their opponents and ensure they get the victory!

Hmmm I guess we could allow jumping within the battlefield.

kluth are hit and run, thats what they do, perhaps a timelimit for hiding?

or a max distance on the jump....... so if they try a hit and run they can be tracked.

Thank you soo much for making an event on saturday, this makes sunday on my side of the world so i can participate .
Concerning the jumping within battlefield, i think this should be allowed - ie you can jump from any point in the battlefield to any point in the battlefield. Just who is going to be looking after the boundries of the battlefield to find out if anyone has gone over the boundries? Also is there a way of marking boundries on the navigation map or will we have to be watching if we go out of bounds for ourselves.

Oh, yes, tactical jumps should be allowed.. its a part of battle tactics..
You could either define a "playing field" or a maximum distance that may be jumped, 2000 gu should be more than enough.

You could get someone with scripting skills to spawn a cirlce of interdicters around the arena.
Thought that might cause lag.
