James Hellinger [ID#39933] and Jessica Gardevoir [ID#198325], It is our great pleasure to inform you that you have been promoted to the challenging and demanding position of Admiral and Fleet Admiral, respectively.
This promotion is in recognition of the fine work you have done in service of the Navy of the United Galactic Trade Organization.
We are very confident that you will meet the new responsibilities, which accompany the Admiralty ranks, with the same level of enthusiasm and enterprise which you have exhibited since you received your commissions.
In accordance with your promotion, the UWS Inquisitor (DD-10), UWS Tenacity (BDD-105), have been assigned as your flag ships, effective immediately with deployment orders to follow.
Please accept our congratulations on your new promotion!

Few Admirals are more notable than James "Bad News" Hellinger. Among his many pointed reminders that he did whatever he pleased, he once reportedly destroyed a Battle Dreadnought with his destroyer upon promotion when High Command attempted to assign him to a ship more befitting his rank as it was believed an Admiral in a destroyer was "demeaning". Reportedly, they also quickly revised that statement shortly thereafter.
Jessica Gardevoir is one of the most accomplished Admirals the UGTO have right now, and because of this she has been given the honor of commanding the first Dreadnaught Heavy Gunship.

Not to be out-done by the UGTO, the Interstellar Cultural Confederation "leaked" an internal naval administration message, promoting two of their own captains, presumably to provide an equal show of force.

Subj/Notice Of Convening Naval Captain Promotion Selection Boards -
Corrected//
RMKS/1. The promotion selection boards to consider naval reserve
officers, have approved for promotion to the
following grades as follows:
29 OCT 2310//108145 Lucious Calgarii, Commander, CSS Lightning Fury (CDD-190A)
07 JUL 2310//136587 Daniel Laker, 1st Rear Admiral, CSS Andromeda Mirage (CC-230A)
RMKS/2. Lucious Calgarii is a citizen with a knack for commerce and tactics. His father was a close friend of Mombola Frederickson, who was the second High Councilor of the ICC, following the legendary Admiral Sheng. Having experienced life amidst such brilliant minds, Lucious has managed to become the Sector Commander for the ICC at the age of 26, an accomplishment to say the least. Lucious has studied all of Shi Jei Sheng's military feats, and combined with his knowledge on economics, has become a savior of the bedraggled forces of the Confederation.
RMKS/3. Daniel Laker is a man of few words and a humble demeanor. Despite numerous offers for promotion, he has so far declined all of them. Famous among graduates from military academy for being calm under pressure, unleashing a tranquil fury in battle.

Within hours of news of ICC's 'announcement', a wide-band electromagnetic burst was detected originating from K'Luth space. Though encrypted, a weak cipher was used on the transmission, which was soon decoded.

Honorable Acolytes, we are pleased to announce elevation of a new cadre of warriors.
In response to the Human parasites deigning to send their great warriors against our Hive, our Warrior Caste has selected to elevate two hunters to lead our fleets against the parasites.
Yid'kan Tal elevated to Grand Admiral, Tar'Esh of Kesh'Rath "Brimstone of the Faith"
K'nuaktoo Foawkan elevated to Grand Admiral, Tar'Esh of Mol'Rak'Atar "Nestling of the Fang"
Artisan Shipcrafters have begun tending formidable vessels to be placed under the command of our Elite Warriors.
A warrior born on the frigid world of Oymvre in the Epsilon Eri system, Yid'kan Tal posses an intimidating arsenal of wits, tactics, and a treacherous mind. Utilizing all of the resources available to the K'Luth, this warrior has managed to defeat far superior forces with far less firepower, showing the brilliant military mind possessed by Yid'kan Tal. As the newly anointed Sector Commander, he has access to even more military resources, which will surely lead to an escalation in the conflict in this concentrated region of space.
K'nuaktoo Foawkan is one of the most sadistic pilots of the K'Luth fleet. Neither fully male nor truly female, a defect from birth made it ostracized and resent all who stood in its way. K'nuaktoo Foawkan gained honor by holding back a joint ICC/UGTO invasion alone while the rest of the K'Luth fleet was engaging the Machine.

After further research, it appears that there were several other officers that were narrowly passed over for promotion. As competent commanders with promising careers, it seems unlikely that we've heard the last of them.
