Today at approximately 10am Galactic Standard Time a large fleet of unknown vessels was detected within the planetary boundary of Concept in the Tripwik star system.
Planetary defenses were powerless to stop the advance of the technologically advanced ships as they effortlessly overran the valiant defenders of the FarStars. While battle raged on overhead, the planet itself was taken with little losses to the aggressors.
Kaytar, the largest planet in the planetary cluster, was the next to feel the weight of this unstoppable military. Defense bases recently procured from the elusive K'Luth proved to be of little help as the merciless onslaught continued. Kaytar too was crushed under the heel of this force, no survivors were found.
Even as the FarStars and the United Galactic Trade Organization forged a temporary ceasefire in order to repel this massive threat to the stability of the quadrant as we know it, the fleet set it's sights on the last bastion of human power within the cluster, the planet Fracon. Having been weakened after fighting between the FarStars and the K'Luth recently it was the least equipped of the planets to survive the onslaught. The planet Fracon surrendered and abandoned the planet once the enemy were seen to be moving towards them.
As the battle raged in Tripwik, further reports were received from the system Struve, where contact with the planet Rawls had been lost. As there were no UGTO ships within sensor range it has been impossible to determine their fate, though we suspect the worst. Reports from the Galactic Senate say that they will be investigating once the hostile force has been repelled.
Reports that this force may be alien in origin are so far unconfirmed, and government representatives have been unavailable to comment with regards these rumors.
With the arrival of the main UGTO fleet led by the Admirals Redemption and Lithium the tide of the battle was finally and decisively turned. The firepower brought to bear by the two stations and their support fleet was enough to destroy the majoity of the unknown fleets ships. The largest and most powerful of these ships, according to reports, fled through an artificial wormhole. Scouts sent to investigate have so far reported no sign of these remants of the fleet.
Reports have also been recieved from the planets that were invaded that large amounts of computer data had been accessed and copied at incredible speeds. The entire database of the UGTO and the FarStars are in the hands of these unknown ships. It is clear that this was no random act. Both the UGTO and the FarStars are attempting to find out why these specific worlds were targetted.
