one cloudly lonely day in the metaverse... when the spring was late and flowers couldnt bloom... the day when eyes bleed and those of serious hearts had very bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad baaaaad very bad the baddest bad so very bad craps... but noone had it as bad as supercarrier that day.... agincourt carrier. he was born a bit weird, he didnt had much of strenght to fend of any bigger than frigate. rarely anyone ever played with him. beside all that he did somehow look like that weird contraption that women use and call 'womens best friend'...
however this was a day he has risen out of his junkyard grave and set course to planet tattoo. ha had his specialty... his love for the fighters.... lots of them. at first jumping kinda gave him a hard time but after some time he arrived at tattoo.

first problem was he couldnt see anything on the planet. if he got too close, defenses opend fire on him, if he was too far away, he coulndt bomb anything significant.

next logical step would be to equip the EWAS fighter. so he turned back to paul junkyard and pulled out that fat piece of EWAS and head back to tattoo.

at range around 1000gu is somehow optimal to stay off the dictor field and of planetary defense grid. he landed 4000gu away... carrier doesnt have fire power or armor to withstand and real punishment.
but what is the point if it cant locate its target at such range. so he sent in his chubby EWAS.
in high hopes of geting some targets so he could send in some bombers...well it didnt really turned out that well. EWAS did reach the planet, but it gave no more info that carrier saw from his position. he did jump in in the end, find the target, but didnt last long...

true story bro, true story...
description of EWAS doesnt really met up the reality. it says something about sensor? well, from actual bombing i remember sensor lit up entire planet from a distance (EWAS please, you're drunk). also carriers descriptions says of 'mothership staying in safe distance while fighters/bombers do their job'.

ask a recon scout to scan planets for you and hide you in ECM. you'll do fine

sensor fighters used to have short range scanners before the fighter patch. now they have low strength ECCM instead.

hahahaaaaaa frrobie i havent expected anything less than that xD
anyhow.....fat as it was the EWAS wasnt really helping. true that another player could come in handy but still description doesnt really back it up...EWAS with eccms...really? come on...
sometimes it feels like ship descriptions are fan fictions all by themselfs

I've tried building plats next to the planet I'm bombing, but that doesn't work either.

you can still beacon structures, which will allow you to bomb the beacon in place of the structure.

beacons last 180 seconds, bomber fighters fly at about 30 gu/s, 180*30 = 5400 gu, 400 gu more than the max range from which you can fighter-bomb the beacon.

the big question is, do bombs destroy beacons?

hehe... Supercarrier.... now you ask this(sensors range and other), what next? ECCM Burst with aoe? 5 mil. eff hp (with 75% resistance to dmg) and immune to all forms electronic warfare? =) But this is Nyx....hehe...
