Yesterday at the I.C.C. Special Scientific Convention on Strange Universal Phenomona, held at the Centre for Scientific Advancement on Exathra, well respected and leading scientist Dr. Retsiem Gall outlined his theory on the recent events that have plagued the universe of late.
The previously unexplained phenomona of ships "teleporting" from one location to another while ship is in transit or even more frightningly whilst ships are in geosynch orbit of a planet and otherwise motionless are well documented.Sometimes this "teleporting" ends with catastrophic results.The repurcussions of last months incident near Exathra involving a transport filled with children on a field trip to Minuete, are still being felt.
Dr. Retsiem Gall's theory is based on one of the oldest principles of physics for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, and the "teleporting" effect is the universes way of trying to compensate for movement in the universe of massive objects such as ships, when they engage interstellar drives, on surrounding space.The effect he claims can be seen to a lesser extent with ships equiped with regular tachyon or antimatter drives but is more pronounced with the newer technologies employing hypermass accelerators.Dr Retsiem Gall further goes on to say that as the use of hypermass accelerators becomes more and more prevelant there will be more and more incidents of "teleporting" with tragic results.Dr. Gall has asked that until further study can be made the use of all hypermass accelerators be suspended.
When contacted, I.C.C. Command had this to say:"Although we respect Dr. Retsiem Gall, his work on I.C.C. shield technology has been invaluable. We would like to point out that all he has at the moment is a theory, we would need more definative proof for us to stop using hypermass technology...as well if his theory proves to be correct all factions and races would also have to agree to abandon this technology, and with all due respect to Dr. Gall we don't see that ever happening.On a side note we would like it on the public record that Dr. Gall has been under a tremendous amount of stress since his son died in the Minuete field trip accident.Our own findings lead us to believe that was caused by pilot error
and not some far out there theory.Our heartfelt condolences go out to Dr. Gall, and in fact all families that have been touched by that tragic incident, and we wish Dr. Gall a speedy recovery."
Unfortunately it seems as though there might not be any further progress on Dr. Retsiem Gall's new theory.As he was preparing to leave CD 36 his shuttle crashed into Exathra, killing Dr.Gall.A Command Dreadnaught had just warped out of the vicinity shortly before the incident occured.

This week, United Galactic Trade Organization scientist have began working on a single resource system for their planets. Last year, Dr. Richard Lyle was assigned the task to fix the Organization's resource problems, due to the heavy costs of war..So far advancements have been made, including Core Extractors;Mantle Extractors,and Mineral Beams ( Also known as Mining beams to pilots) for ships. Earlier this month, Dr.Lyle had accidently combined resources in a T1-239 Space Labratory outiside of Sol, doing reutine examination of an Un-claimed cluster of planets. This new single resource, or uniresource, contains all natual minerals.
Dr.Lyle has said " This new..Uniresource system, could greatly increase production in colonies, and ships." Over the week, Dr.Lyle has succesfully changed the Earth and Luna's resource system to Uniresources. The United Galactic Trade Organization has declared Dr.Lye be granted all funding needed for this discovery, and has sent out an order for all planets within the Organization's territory be changed to this system.

Our sources of told us of a new resource system, which our scientist have already started working on. We have captured two UGTO planets, and have copied the designs. Our planets are now being transfered to this.."Uniresource" system. We cannot spare any more details, we have found traces of a Cracked leak in our data feed
