--------------------Chapter 1--------------------
The citizens of the planet Perjywat never knew what hit them. When the K'luth assault began they were the first target. The only odd thing the citizens noticed was two bright flashes of light in the sky, the destruction of the two defences destroyers in orbit of the planet, after that the bombs came, wiping the world clean of humans and allowing the K'luth troops to take over the world within mere moments. The entire attack lastest less than thirty minutes and the planet Perjywat was in K'luth hands.
Aboard the ICC station Rainmaker:
Com Officer: Admiral, incoming distress signal from Perjywat
Admiral: Put it on screen
(Screen shows the picture of a man standing in a small room, outside the window you can see large green explotions)
Perjywat citizen: You must help us admiral! The K'luth have attacked our world!
Admiral: What happened to your destroyer defences?
Perjywat citizen: We don't know, moments before the bombs began hitting we lost contact with them, some citizens reported seeing bright flashes of light in the sky, we believe the destroyers are gone! Help us!
Admiral: I'll dispatch a fleet to your location A.S.A.P
Perjywat citizen: Please hurry...PLEASE...(static)
Admiral: Order 1 Dreadnaught, 3 Cruisers, 5 Destroyers, and 10 frigates to form up and jump to Perjywat. Order a scout to go ahead of the others and check the situation, make sure that one of the frigates is equipped with eccm.
Com Officer: Yes sir, sendign the orders now.
Admiral: Prepare the fleet for action and put all planets on red alert, this could be the K'luth main attack we've been expecting...
Aboard the ICC Dreadnaught Guardian:
Com Officer: Sir the Rainmaker has ordered us to form up with a small fleet of ships and jump to Perjywat to defend them from a K'luth attack
Captain: Warm up the jump engines and set a course...
(Space, A large ICC fleet centered around the ICC station Rainmaker is seen, one dreadnaught, three cruisers and assourted small ships break off and gather at the edge of the screen. When they are all there they engage jump engines at the same time)
Aboard the ICC station Rainmaker:
Com officer: Admiral, report now coming in from the scout we sent ahead.
Admiral: Well quick, tell me is this the massive K'luth invation we've been expecting?
Com officer: I don't know sir, the scout reports that the planet is now under K'luth control and...
Admiral: WHAT!? Already under their control? It's only been 10 minutes since the distress came in! How did the K'luth conquer that planet so fast?
Com officer: Sir the scout reported seeing only one K'luth vessal, a small destroy class K'luth vessel...
Admiral: What type of destroyer class?
Com officer: Unknown sir...the vessel only remained in the system for a moment...sir the scout reports that the K'luth now have the planetary defence systems online!
Admiral: Order the fleet back to this location quick!
Com officer: Yes sir, sending out message to the Guardian now, shall I recall the scout?
Admiral: Yes...we'll need his sensors for the fight to come...
Com officer: The fleet has canceled their jump and are preparing to jump back here sir, it make take some time for the Dreadnaughts jump drive to recharge though, shall I order the smaller ships to return when ready?
Admiral: And leave the Guardian on it's own? No. In fact order the scout to stop at the same location as the small fleet, that should keep the K'luth away.
Com officer: Yes sir...sir patrol fighter beta is calling in an emergency distress!
Admiral: On screen!
(Image of a fighters cockpit appears on screen, the image is shaking and sparks are fying everywhere)
Fighter Pilot: This is patrol fighter beta, I have been (static) by the K'luth they ha (static) fleet out here! (static) to order the (static) prepare for battle! OH GEEZ WHAT IS THAT!?
(A loud explotion is heard as the screen turns bright white, then goes to static)
Admiral: Screen off, order all ships to prepare for battle, attack pattern omega. What was patrol fighter beta's last recorded position?
Com officer: 1500 gu's away from the fleet, coordinates...
Admiral: Repeat those coordinates to all ships in the fleet, Weapons officer bring all systems online, Nav officer get us moving, 4 gu's, engineering is our shield upgrade complete yet?
Engineering: Yes sir, jsut finished sealing up the systems, shields are now running 13% more power efficient and can absorb 12% more damage
Admiral: That should help...a bit...power up the shields...put me on full fleet chat
Com officer: Yes sir, you are now on full fleet chat
(The image of the admiral appears on all of the fleets main screens)
Admiral: Men...at four hundred hours this morning the K'luth began their assualt on Epsilon indi by ruthlessly destroying Perjywat's two destroyer's and then bombing the planet and taking it over. We were caught off guard, and some people had to pay dearly for it...but that's all we're gonna let the K'luth do. We will kill every last one of those lobsters, then retake Perjywat. Prepare for battle!
(The screens go back to their original images as the Admiral sits down again)
Admiral: Launch all fighters, instruct all other ships of the fleet to do the same...tell the Leviathion to power up it's interdictor field, we don't want those sneaky K'luth to jump right on top of us. Order the fighters to run patrol 900...no make that 700 gu's from the fleet...order all ships with eccm on board to activate it...instruct the guardian's fleet to return here A.S.A.P., we'll need their help.
Com officer: Sir, the Guardian is not responding...none of the ships in the detachment are!
Admiral: Send one scout to investigate...but keep the main force here...keep a constant com channel open to all planetary defence fleets, and to the patrol fighters...
