A blinding light appeared on the horizon on the planet Wesly, Midshipman Kalshion had been extracting resources from the planet for over 9 days straight, food supplys where already low... and among the lowness was morale
"What the heck is up with the captain?!", Called the 1st officer as he slammed his coffee cup on the table
One of his subordinates shruged. "He's a nut case, he feels we'll make it big if we stay here"
"All where mining is ore and stuff from that planet, and besides sensor's already picked up enemy movement in the area... why isn't he ordering us to retreat?", The 1st officer said obviously confused
He laid back in his chair, "I often wonder why ICC assigned me to this ship". He sighed
"Kalshion was responsible for the death's of several ICC High Ranking officers a couple years back", One of the other officers said
"Now that's an interesting find.. what happened?", The 1st officer said
"Well... apperently during a standard recon patrol a transport ship jumped into the region, when he hailed the transport ship and requested an ID. The ship didn't respond, he contacted his commanding officer and was ordered to take retalitory measures", The supply officer said. He picked up his beer mug and drank some beer then sighed and continued. "Normally a scout wouldn't even harm a large transport.. but for some reason it's shields where down. He sank a few rail gun rounds into the engine compartment and.... well... the ship disappeared, in it's place was debris and the body's of 2 admiral's and one brig admiral"
The 1st officer shook his head. "Man, I'm surprised he was let off with just this job, wonder why he was executed"
"Because it was commander error... according to a flight data recorder Kalshion had argued with his commander countless time's about the orders he had received.. some of which called upon him to destroy civilien transports", The supply officer said and sighed. "He's to kind hearted to be a war commander"
"And who are you to make that assumption?", Kalshion said. He had been leaning up against the other side of the door, listening in to his officers storys.
"Ca... CAPTAIN!!!", His 1st officer yelled. Standing up, knocking the table over along with a few beer bottles and a mug, and saluting

Kalshion made a good story (or part of one) back on another board that I still go to. He is definitely good at it. I guarantee it...

Kalshion stared at his 1st officer. "I'm disappointed in you, didn't I tell you not to speak of such lie's?"
"But sir, it isn't a lie... you really did kill those people!", His 1st officer yelled
"ENOUGH!", Kalshion counter and placed his pistol on the table, which he had drawn so quickly that only the engeneer had noticed it.
"Ye.... yes sir...", His 1st officer said. It wasn't that he was embarrassed or anything. He was mad that that he couldn't explain the rest of the story
"Now, get to the bridge. As much I'd like for all of us to have a break, we do have a job to do. ICC will be mad at us if we don't report in soon", Kalshion said and walked over to the bar. He pulled out of a bottle of wiskey he had so readily hidden behind some other bottles. "If we make it through to the ICC Jumpgate, then we'll have a drink"
"Aye Aye Captain!", Everyone there yelled
As all the crew members left the officer's quarters one stayed behind. "Is it true sir?"
Kalshion sat down, one eye closed while the other one was slightly opened. "Is what true?"
"That you killed a few ICC Officers"
He sighed. "That's a past I would rather forget", Kalshion said while taking a sip of wisky
"Yes Sir", The officer said and soon left
"It's a past I would rather not recount... would rather forget... for even though I was demoted to being this ships captain, there are still a few among ICC wh-", Kalshion said. A second later while he was taking another sip the ship rocked. There was the sound's of explosion and decompressions on the lower decks, he drew his glass away and ran out of the officers quarters
He made his way down the corridor heading to the bridge. He had memorized this ship deck for deck, room for room. So he could easily find his way around if the bridge was blocked
"How could someone get close to this ship without us knowing... damn it, must be an ICC that's the only way the sensor officer wouldn't have said anything", Kalshion said. He turned the corner, his hand on the wall. He slid a bit before regaining his balance. He saw the bridge door's ahead and slapped the door key pad, the door's opened.
"Status!", He yelled
"Deck's 4 and 5 are breached, a few crewmembers where in those area's but I havn't been able to raise them", His communications officer said. She continued to try and raise the attacking ships
"Who's attacking us?"
"UGTO Assault Scout and an ICC Missle Frigate", The combat officer said as she tried to throw off there lock
"The scout we can deal with... but that missle frigate is a completely different story"
"Deal with a scout? With all due respect sir this extractor's weapon are primative", The combat officer said
"Who said I was going to use the CL? The mining laser can be used as a weapon if used correctly", Kalshion said. "I'm surprised you didn't know that"
He looked away from Kalshion. "Sorry sir... never been on an extractor with a lunatic captain before"
"I'll act like I didn't hear that", Kalshion said. "Bring us about, head toward the jumpgate"
"Yes Sir", The Navigation officer yelled.
He stood while walking around the bridge.
"Missle frigate is about 200 out, it'll be inrange in a matter of seconds"
"Enemy scout coming about, it's weapons are locked"
He nodded. "Good good, let just closer", Kalshion said. He grinned
Only two officers on the bridge knew that grin, and it made them cringe
The scout brushed across the shields of the extractor, it's weapons firing but not breaching the shields itself. It moved in front of the extractor and spun up, then loop. It's momentum causing it to go backwards while still facing the extractor
"It's charging weapons.. if we don't fire now the bridge will be history"
"Then fire", Kalshion yelled
The combat officer commenced the firing, but noticed something was wrong. "CL and Mining laser not firing.... something is wrong"
Kalshion gritted his teeth. "In that case, full power to engines... RUN IT OVER!"
This time, it was the helmsmen's turn to grin. Now either the scout pilot wasn't expecting this, or he was asleep. For the extractors pitched upward and ran the scout over
"Explosive decompressions on deck 6. We just load mineral bay's one and three", The communications officer yelled as she tried to assess the more damaged locations
"Insufficent power to engines", The helmsmen yelled
"Enemy missle frigate in range! I'm picking up... one... no... two... arghs.... 6 missles incoming!", The combat officer yelled
Kalshion's sudden grin faded with the count of how many missles where on there butt. "Can we just?"
"Negative sir, that ram we did damaged the tachyon drive", The navigation's officer said
"Wonderful.. look's like we have only one other option", Kalshion said
"Sir?"
(edit: Got a couple tells ingame about some grammer errors here.. sorry about those, didn't notice em even when I proofread)

He cursed, and loudly to boot. "Turn to a heading of 180"
"That effectivly make's use face the other way", The helmsman said while plotting in the course
Kalshion nodded. "That's what I had in mind"
"Missiles closing, 20 seconds"
"Change heading, 70 degrees"
The extractors moved at a 70 degree angle, the missiles flew by the extractor. But didn't change course
His combat officer just stared at the screen. "Inc UGTO Missile Destroyer!"
"Blast, what's next?". Kalshion said
"I have sensor contact on two ICC Dreadnaughts"
"Captain! YOU JUST HAD TO OPEN YOU'RE MOUTH!!!!", The Helmsman yelled while avoiding Particle and Railgun shots
As the extractor continued to dodge volloy after volloy of rounds from the ICC ships, the UGTO Missile Destroyer came about and targeted the lead ICC Ship, which just so happened to be the Missile Frigate. It's torpedo's tubes lite up with an earie red glow as 4 torpedo's flew out of the tubes and started toward the Missile Frigate
"Inc Torps... but not as us... inc toward the ICC MF", The sensor officer said
"Range from Dreadnaughts?", Kalshion yelled
"400 R and decreasing, they'll be within firing range in 25 seconds", The helmsman yelled as he franticly tried to find a way to speed themselves up
On the right side of the view screen there was an explosion, fire engolfed the side of the extractor as the four torpedo's found there mark. The Missile Frigate had managed to get close to the Extractor and thus tried to ram em, but the torpedo's got to it first
He sighed. "That was close"
"Question.. why did the UGTO attack the missile frigate?", His sensor officer asked in a bit of confusion
Kalshion shruged. "Maybe the UGTO would rather fight a combatible enemy than a pesky little extractor?"
"Perhaps", His sensor officer responded
"Where being hailed by the UGTO Destroyer", The communications officer said
"Wonder why they want to talk..", Kalshion said
His combat officer chuckled, but then noticed that it was no laughing matter. "Maybe they want us to surrender?"
"Let's find out", Kalshion said and nodded toward his Communications officer
A picture of a UTGO Commander appeared on the view screen. Kalshion didn't reconize him, other than the fact that he was human
"What can we do for you mister?", Kalshion said trying not to show any hostility
"You can get you're butt behind my ship so that you won't be destroyed... THAT'S what you can do", The commander said
Kalshion looked away. "You're not going to ask us to surrender?"
"Surrender? Why should I? You're marked off as being a murder and a traitor to the ICC, every freaking ship in the region is after you", The commander said. "Not to mention you're crew"
"How so?", Kalshion asked finding it a little to interesting
"Well, ICC Security place's you at the ICC HQ leaving one of the admiral's officer room. Within where two dead admirals, so you're wanted to the murder of yet two more admirals", The commander said. "I was ordered to come here and protect you... at least until an escort fleet arrives"
He looked at his crew, most where wondering what was going on. "Helmsman.. you heard him"
"Yes Sir"
The extractor came about and slowly moved toward the back of the destroyer, the destroyer it self was no match for the two dreadnaughts. But the captain obviously knew something that the two dread's didn't, why else would a destroyer go up against them if it didn't have an advantage.
Kalshion and his crew watched as the destroyer's missile's and beams found a weakspot in the dreadnaught's shielding, it's engine was literally cut in half, while the engine block itself kept pushing forward, the other half other dreadnaught slowly came to a stop and started rotating
"Interesting", Kalshion said and clasped his hands
"We've got a sensor contact in back of us, K'luth Siphon"
"Siphon? What the heck is that?", Kalshion said. He had heard of the K'luth, but in his time being in the military he had never SEEN a K'luth ship in person. "What's it doing?"
"Just sitting there, like it's monitoring what's going on", The sensor officer said
"Right, keep an eye on it", Kalshion said.
"That's the least of our worrys.. we got yet two more ICC ships inbound", The sensor officer said. "An ICC Interdictor and Assault Destroyer"
He sighed again. "Why us.... any other way we can't jump", Kalshion said
"Blast... again... that commander was right.. ICC really DOES want us dead!", The sensor officer said. "I have more than 5 sensor contacts... all ICC... 2 Heavy Cruisers, 1 Jump Cruiser and a Carrier Cruiser"
"There firing weapons, I got lead's on several missiles... We can't avoid them!", The sensor officer yelled
As the missiles closed in toward the extractor, the destroyer's commander couldn't do anythint due to the odd's that he was up against
The extractor came about and made it's way toward a planet. "Go into the atmoshere, maybe we can lose those missiles"
"Doing so", the helmsman said
The extractor dived into the planet's atmosphere. It's shield's brushing against the lower stratosphere
He continued to monitor the missiles, the UGTO Destroyer had taken such a pounding that he doubted anyone was still alive. Expically since the destroyer was vesting dangerously to port and coming closer to the planet, it's gravity drawing the ship in.
"Enemy missiles incoming, 10 seconds", The sensor officer yelled
"9 Seconds", Kalshion braced himself
"8 Seconds", He signaled the communications officer to open a ship wide comm.
"5 seconds", Kalshion got on the comms. "ALL HANDS! PREPARE FOR MISSILE IMPACT!"
"3 Seconds", He continued. "I REPEAT! ALL HANDS PREAPRE FOR MISSILE IMPACT!
"1 SECOND!"

(ooc: Sorry all, sick yesterday and sick today...)
Kalshion and his crew brached for an impact that never came
"Did they over shot us?", Kalshion asked
"Missiles exploding upon entering the atmosphere, apperently some odd disturbance is disrupting the missiles", The sensor officer said
"Perhaps not all of them", The combat officer said and gripped the edge of her console
Outside the extractor, storm's brewed and wisped over the extractor as it cleared some clouds and buzzed over some tree's
"What do you mean?", Kalshion asked
"Missile closing, apperently it managed to get through the storms", The combat officer said
"A storm like this shoulda destroyed it", Kalshion said
"IT Missile....", The sensor officer said
"Explains it", He said and also gripped the sides of his command chair
The missles cleared the cloud's and struck the side of one of the extractor's port nacelles. The extractor sped up
"Engine's hit.... where increasing in speed", The helmsman yelled
The extractor pitched downward and flew over the edge of a mountain
"Brace yourselfs!", Kalshion yelled over the comm. line
There extractor descended and hit the ground, tree's snapped like toothpicks and where mowed into the ground
The bridge shook violantly, several crew members where thrown to the ground when the ship hit the ground.
The extractor continued to slide across the ground before it finally came to a complete stop
Kalshion released his grip and put his hand on his head, he pulled it off to find blood. "Status?", he said
"Engines destroyed, Armor breached in all sections. Suffice it to say, this bird won't fly", The combat officer said and got up
"Very well, getto storage and break out the survival gear", Kalshion said and got up
The combat officer sighed then shut his console off and walked throught the doors, followed closely behind by the Sensor and Helmsman officers
He took one last look at his bridge, "Guess this is the last time old girl. You've served me and my crew well". Kalshion said and activated the self destruct sequence, only instead of it being timed he rigged it for remote detonation
Kalshion walked into the storage bay and saw several vehicles ready to go.
"Everything on board?", Kalshion asked
A crewmen walked over to him. "Yes Sir"
"Good", Kalshion said and got on board one of the vehicle's. "Let's get going before the ICC find out we survived the crash"
The driver nodded and started her up, after awhile a convoy formed up that followed a path through the forest
"How far?"
"About 4 miles now, we need to be at least 9 miles before we can detonate the reactors", An officer said
Kalshion clasped his hands. "Very well, let's keep going"

Kalshion stared outside the window of his APC. "How much on supplys did we manage to salvage?"
His 2nd in command bent down and picked up a list off the dashboard."We have enough food to last us a couple more days", he said and ran his finger down the list. "Some weapons, including IT missiles and Fusion torpedo's that we can probably sell for money"
"Or use against them ICC if they try anything", One of the crew member's said
"We could", Kalshion said. His arms still crossed over his chest. "Problem is, unlike in space, a fusion detonation here will be more dangerous and...... hazardous"
The crew member sighed. "I suppose you're right"
"Sir?", Kalshion's tactical officer had come up to the front of the cabin. Holding the reactor detonater
"Yes?", Kalshion replied
"Where enough away to detonate the reactor without fear of killing ourselves", the tactical officer said while handing the detonater to Kalshion
He grabbed it and looked out the back window, they where still moving away from the crashsite
"How many vehicles?", Kalshion asked
"About 6, 4 APC's and 2 combat vehicles", His supply officer said
"Since when did extractors have vehicles stored in them?, Kalshion said while a tad confused
"Hmm let's see", The supply officer said while attempting to think. "If I remember correctly we've had those vehicles for three days now in our hold, someone back at base suggested we take them"
"And I was never told this? Why?", Kalshion said in a demanding tone
"Becuase if you had been told you would've said to remove them, since they where taking up space", The supply officer said
"Very well... glad we had them", Kalshion said. He looked at the detonater then back out the window. With a final salute he triggered the detonation
