---FOR THE GRAND CHANCELLOR'S EYES ONLY---

Report by the UGBI (United Galactic Bureau of Intelligence) A071823

Subject: Identified Terms in the K'luth Language

Salutations, Grand Chancellor.

As you are already aware, we have begun the interviews of several of our K'luth guests. Due to their ability to communicate psionically, this has made matters much more difficult. However, with MRI scanning and their kind cooperation we have managed to translate the psionic signals phoenetically into the English Language, which are presented below for your viewing pleasure. Note that this dictionary is far from complete, and may well never be.

ARK'GORENn.K'luth vessel class. "Stinger".

ATAR n.The prime K'luth god in the Helyu Y'Rath'Atar.

BAK'RATOLn.K'luth vessel class. "Claw."

POR'ASHKn.K'luth vessel class. "Fang".

RATH n.Physical form of K'luth god.

RATAL Unconfirmed. Possibly dancer.

SET adj.First.

SHAL'MARn.K'luth vessel class. "Mandible".

TAR adj.Second.

THAL'ENKn.K'luth vessel class. "Hive".

THEZ'MALLDn.K'luth vessel class. "Drone".

TOMAK n.Male K'luth tribe leader. Said to have mastered finding what has to be found.

TSAK n.Star.

TSER'AKn.Insect on the K'luth home world, used as the symbol now for the K'luth.

ULAN n. Female K'luth tribe leader. Said to have mastered hunting.

VEKUnknown. Probably best. See also MISH and PER.

VERAN'MOLn.K'luth vessel class. "Beak".

VEL'NAKORn.K'luth vessel class. "Scarab".

Y Unknown. Possibly meaning 'and' to join two nouns after it, e.g Y'Rath'Atar

Y'RATH'ATAR n. The unified body of Rath and Atar. Also the star the K'luth home world orbits round.

Also, our forays into K'luth dates have proved successful.

From K'luth records, the 27th of September 2266 CE is equivalent to the K'luth Fourth Sun/Tenth Cycle/Twentieth in the Age of Wandering. More about the K'luth date naming system later.

This has allowed us to trace K'luth history back in time, and equate it to our years. Therefore, for example, we find that in the year 2186 the K'luth had just developed FTL travel.

The K'luth dating system is based on the same as our own, except for a few differences. The first part, 'Sun', refers to our day, 'Cycle' refers to month, and the 'Age of Wandering' is one of the many ages in K'luth history. The present age is called the 'Age of Wandering'is named so because the Legion, a machine race, had fought the K'luth out of their home planet. Details of this are sketchy.

Research into K'luth grammar is underway at this point in time. Our linguists are presently decoding sections of the Helyu Y'Rath'Atar, the longest K'luth text known, to determine the exact structure of the K'luth grammar. Soon enough, we will be able to speak K'luth and communicate with them.

Yours,
President, United Galactic Bureau of Intelligence.

LoL Axianda. That's not nice. You don't know what you're talking about.

It was verY interesting. Didn't read them all but...I can tell work was put into this. It's interesting to see other aspects of the fiction surrounding this game.

*Thumbs Up!*

I don't remember the exact word, but I have confirmation from Gideon himself that the K'luth name for Legion translates to "those who kicked our asses".

Oh man, one version was bad enough. But unless the toy companies in DS are run by the clinically dead, we'll soon have an invasion of "Hooked on K'luth Phonics" and the like.

From K'luth Part 4: Society

The K’Luth word for Humanity translates roughly as "Children of Sol". As a side note, the translation of the word for MIR comes roughly out to "Devourers of The Children".

Time to update the fiction:

From K'luth Part 4: Society

It should be noted that there are references to another species known as the MIR. This species is as of yet unknown to us. There seems to be some confusion as to what the MIR are. The closest thing the K'Luth have been able to give us a reference point to is the expert systems AI computers that are present in most colonial hubs and research facilities.
