This is my little fiction. The story is set after the ICC and UGTO alliance finally defeat the K'Luth.
The alliance with the ICC helped the UGTO's devastated forces to finally defeat the K'Luth. All humans collectively rejoiced over the final destruction of the Alians that so mysteriously appeared so long ago. After the K'Luth forces were fully eradicated, the ICC/UGTO alliance, so short lived, is already broken. It is not UGTO, this time, but ICC treachery that re-ignited the war between the human factions. Little did they know, the K'Luth still had their hand to play in the decideing factor of who the victors of the renewed war will be...
Although the ICC had much new space to develop, the UGTO having taken the larger brunt of the last K'Luth attack on the human home systems, and the fact that the ICC forces would forever remain stretched to defend their new space, they decided to take the opertunity to eliminate their last enemy: The United Galactic Trade Organization. All the ICC forces immediately moved to attack the UGTO front line systems of Lalande and Van Maanen...
"This is Exathra Command. Begin the assult on Gefjon."
Local SSC Captain: "What the heck? What is the ICC doing here? Tacticle, do you have any idea whats going on?"
Tacticle: "They're comming, full speed... with weapons hot! They're attacking! They outnumber us 20 to 1! Its gotta be half their fleet here!!"
Captain: "We're supposed to be allied... The traitors... Comm, dispatch a meassage to UGTO command on Earth. All ships, battle stations!"
Comm: "I can't establish communeications with any other UGTO ships or planets, except those within 10,000 gu of us. We have communeications with Ran, however."
Captain: "Looks like we are on our own... Try and get Ran to order it's defense ships over here to help"
Tacticle: "Gefjon defenses are opening fire... ICC PD took most of them down... Light damage to the lead destroyer group..."
Gefjon: "All UGTO ships, we are going to attempt to evacuate Gefjon. Defend it and the evac transports at all costs! We have barely enough to do this, we are almost ready to launch."
SSC Admiral: "You head them, everyone, engage the ICC fleet and prepare to retreat immediately."
Comm: "Captain, Ran is sending some of its defense ships, but they won't be enough to hold Gefjon for much longer... Ran also sends that it is evacuateing as many of its extra personel. After that is done, they will send the rest of their ships. I'll notify the fleet of this."
SSC Admiral: "This is the Gefjon defence fleet to Ran, do not send the rest of your ships here, send them to Hler, we will make our final stand there."
Tacticle: "We have engaged the ICC defence fleet, we are getting creamed here... Allready the SSC Vengence has been destroyed!"
Captain: "And we are taking heavy damage ourselves. Gefjon, how much longer? We're getting our butts kicked!"
Gefjon: "Launching the final evacues now... They're clear, all UGTO vessels, retreat, repeat, all UGTO vessels retreat!"

ICC commander: "They have abandoned Gefjon to us, and Ran. They are retreating to Hler. We will finish them there after we secure these two planets. We allready destroyed half their fleet, they shouldn't cause too much resistance. All ships, continue on to Gefjon!"
The ICC forces took Gefjon and Ran without any more resistance. The UGTO fleet was severly battered from the battle, began repairs, while the ICC prepared to attack Hler...

SSC Admiral: "Can we open communeications with any other UGTO systems/fleets?"
SSC Captain: "Already tried that, sir, but they must be jamming us system wide. Bad enough Ran never sent any of the ship they said they would... If they had been there, we may not have lost so much."
SSC Admiral: "There was supposed to be a convoy to come through here, what happend to them?"
Tacticle: "Admiral, several ships are approching!"
[-GTN-]Malduc: "The convoy due for this secter noticed that there was something going on here. We are the reinforcements from Wolf 248. I see Gefjon and Ran have been taken... We also received word... Another large portion of the ICC fleet is invadeing Lalande. Unfortunately, we are not able to defend against their onslaught. We were ordered to cover you until this system was evacuated, and then retreat to Wolf. Raze the planets, we will give them nothing."
SSC Admiral: "Alright, you heard the Navy, we are ordered to evac, and raze the planet. Lets get outta here people!"

The ICC fleet arrived just as the UGTO fleet left... Hler, Kari, and Unn were completely destroyed... The ICC fleet was left to pick through the ashes.
