GCQL MFC Application Has Stopped Working |

Hey guys, sorry to bother you, but my GCQL stops working immediately after I press the log in button, the log sometimes tells me that it failed to load the WordFilter.

of all the things that could go wrong, the WordFilter?....
in your /GameCQ/DarkSpace/ folder, create a notepad file by the name WordFilter.txt, and save it with the following text in it:-
DarkSpace=The Game
MV=Server King
UGTO=Heroes
ICC=Trashcans
K'Luth=Lobsters
that should get you started

The file is there. I've even deleted it, and it just recreated it. T_T
Even reinstalled... T_T

Please try running GCQL with administrator privileges. Something is stopping it from accessing its own directory.

I did that, I always do that, unfortunately it still doesn't work.

Could to uninstall and reinstall GCQL in a non-protected directory then please?
Something on your machine is not allowing GCQL to access its own directory.

So.... that worked, not sure if it was me canceling the updating process or if switching it to my documents helped... but THANK YOU, I tried it before, but this time I put it in my documents...

My client does this. So long as the account is made brand new through it, it works. but if I try to log into it again after a shut-down it will crash.
Word filter has no effect. It is installed to C:\Games\GameCQ\ and was installed from my documents. I run windows Vista x32 home basic and this is my 3rd account, and the only one I got to work...once that is, now it refuses to get past the "connecting to GameCQ".

Alright, noticed that if I move the login popup it shows that the connection to the GCQ server has frozen.

tried reinstalling for the hell of it again. Same result. Worked on it for an hour yesterday. Installed to docs. nope. Installed to c drive. nope. installed to desktop, nope. Made sure Norton is allowing access. It is. Start as admin. Nope. uninstall/reinstall. nope. install different file from one of the other dl options. Nope. Ran full scans and registry repairs. Nope.
Dont quite understand "unprotected", as I really dont want ANY part of my computer unprotected.
Never had this before, and didnt do anything from the last time I played that would "break" the program. Quit playing just 2 weeks after the cloak change patch, and it worked fine then.
