I am running windows 7 and recently DS has started acting up. About half of the time when i start GCQL it appears on my taskbar but the window never comes up. Sometimes it comes up but its minimized to a small tab at the top of my screen. Help?

not at all sure where window position gets saved in the registry but you might try
deleting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palestar\GCQL\CMainFrame\WP
less potenially destructive would be to try fiddling with your desktop resolution, id start by increasing it, and working backwards from the maximum supported resolution

Try just right clicking the taskbar window thing and choosing 'maximize'. I noticed a while back if gcql gets minimized sometimes it wont pop back up until you right click and select maximize.

try going into the DS setup, and
1) if you play in windowed mode, uncheck Windowed mode
2) if you play in full screen mode, check Windowed mode
with a bit of luck it will work.

If you close the game from the window it doesnt close it all the way. This minimizes it. When you shut down it saves it that way. Maximize it from the task/status bar and then close it from the staus bar(right click exit). Shutdown your PC and it should save it as last config as Maximized...
Edit: Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it to work. Multiple restarts, due to windows sucking...
Edit2: If you cant see DS in the status bar, then open task manager and restore DS from there...
