When i start the game up, the win 7 blocker comes up, I allow DS to start.
Get to the username/password box, get past that, then when the client loads and is about to open, it mostly doesn't.
It appears in the processes, it appears on the start bar, it appears that the application is working.
It just won't display, as if it's off the screen (which it can't be).
I try opening it via the hidden icon bar and it still won't open.
The client actually appears on my screen very rarely.
I've had this problem for a while but recently it's gotten to the point where 7/10 times i try to start up the client it boots up like the above.
And that on separate occasions.
If i try to boot up the client after failing once (i make sure the process isn't still running) if ends in multiple failures like the above.
I seem to have to wait a few hours, and try my luck then.
This happened rarely before, but recently it's been rampant.
When it does open, it opens in the smallest window it can be in (so just the Minimize, maximize, close icons appear) [ This Message was edited by: The Fridge on 2012-06-24 16:38 ]

I've had this problem before, you know the "Show Desktop" button at the bottom right? Press it.

I have also been having the exact same problems for the past 3 or 4 days.
I just keep closing the aplication and restarting in the hope it works

I'll try it next time i have the problem, but it seems to only effect darkspace, so i'm not too sure on the "Show Desktop".

Yeh, i had this problem, but i clicked that and it would show in the tiny window like you said. That was really the only way for it to work for me.

Run as administrator and allow it to bypass UAC.

| Sounds to me he does that already. no blocker comes up unless you start it as administrator. (unless you are a standard user)
@Fridge, just one question, do you use multiple monitors?
As i do and frequently switch between single and multiple monitor settings.
the applications being run (including GCQL) when used on a second screen sometimes do not switch back to the primary display when you change back to single monitor. The remembered window position puts them outside the current field of view. To fix hover over the taskbar icon and let the running application list open. then right click on the running instance and select maximized, this will pin it back to the primary display
I have that a lot, so unforgivably that is all i can think off that could be the issue..
Do tell us if you figured it out, or not..
E.

This does happen to me at random times also. Yes, i'm using Windows 7 and running as Admin seems to have no affect on it. All I can do is to open and close it a few times til it finally pops up in that tiny window.
It doesn't bother me too much because it is seemingly random and happens less often than it does but when it does it can be quite annoying especially when you're trying to get into the MV quick.
