Shield ring bug? |

I have been having an issue (and [*RSM*]Aly Alleycat also shared this issue) with shield impacts being repeated, and not being where they should.
Whenever a shield is hit, there are a dozen multiples that are on a ring of the ship, but the ring is 3 times larger than the actual size of the ship.
I have a picture, hope you can tell:
As you can tell, I've turned particles and trails to low in an effort to boost my FPS, which falls to 5 whenever a shield is hit. I have a dual core processor, 2.5gb ram, and an 8800 gts, more than enough to run the game. [ This Message was edited by: Sheynak on 2011-09-17 01:40 ]

i dont.. understand.
if you are talking about weapons impacting your rings instead of your ship, thats the way the game is supposed to be.

The problem is that the projectiles aren't hitting the ring they are supposed to.
(I took the liberty and marked the impacts in Shey's screenshot)

Yeah, I noticed this too, those blue'purple "sparkles" that appear a distance away from ICC ships when you shoot them.

im fairly confident that this is a graphix bug and dosent actuly effect any damage, the Sheild impact Grapix has allways been quite buggy.

I just assumed it was multicore re enabling itself when i saw it
