I have been noticing that the planet with dico arent working right. What i means is i will jump to one and land in the dico almost right beside the planet before it caps me and keeps me from jumping in. just curious if that a bug or if it a new desgin cause it seems random at what gu range it stops you at.

Dico reaction time depends on client side framerate.
It doesn't work at all for players with slow machine lol

Try the lowest graphics settings.
Disable shaders and shadows also. [ This Message was edited by: Lithium on 2011-03-08 00:35 ]

Dark Space won't run well on anything less then a quad core.

It was running OK on my computer (2,4 Ghz single core; 1 Gb Ram; ATI radeon HD 2600) until my wifi card went totally nuts -.-*
off topic:
I'm still waiting for 75% of the LAN cables I ordered thursday 2 weeks ago -.- they were sent away 8 (!!!!!!!!!!!) days ago and still aren't here
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!
the LAN switch I ordered the same day arrived 2 days later >.<*
I know this doesn't really belong here but I just had to write it

Has nothing to do with framerate, and the game is locked to 1 core by default - having a 80 core processor won't make a bit of difference.

incorrect
your frame rates are effected based on a graphic card type quality and ram to amount of firepower being unleashed by ships firing weapons missles ect.
dico is not effected by the frame rates as its a constant.
And for the record i used a slow machine once and the dico worked fine so i do not know what you are on about.
i would believe the dico is buged if it is happening alot

i wasnt even talking about lag linthium went completly off of what i was talking about. I have no problem running darkspace on low or high i can run this eve and wow all at once on this computer without any problem at all. all i was asking if the dico are bugged or something just for the fact that when i jump to a planet or ai or other players it random but it drops you within the dico range instead of stoping you at 1k gu. was wondering if it was a bug or if it something new or what.

Dico range depends on ship speed is old feature (or bug).
But lagged clients ignore dico is new feature (or bug).
+
Using gate/WH within dico range causes reverting dictor flag is a old bug. [ This Message was edited by: Lithium on 2011-03-08 22:24 ]

Wait.
I believe I've heard from the Devs that you are able to penetrate the dico field by a variable distance.
In otherwords, when you hit the dico field at the 1000gu mark, you will still travel for a little bit more before dropping out of jump. IIRC, this depends on your FTL speed. Diff ships travel at diff FTL speeds.

It also depends on what side of the planet the Interdictor is on and how big the planet is. If you're jumping to a 300 GU radius planet and the Interdictor is on the opposite side, then you're hitting the field at 700 GU instead of 1000 assuming it was built on the equator like a lot of them seem to be.
