No, if anything we're adding more for the GPU to do (real-time shadows).

Beta is broken most of the time, bar from when we make a push for release. There's little point posting about a bug in beta unless we've specifically asked players to help us test a feature out. I'd imagine such a thing will happen soon when Faustus has finished working on the new features.

you just had to say something its just fun to mod small ships there and launch fleets of ai dreads and cruisers at each other with the free Betta credits you get for updateing your betta profile i'm surprised nobody ealse goes there betta is great

Real-time shadows? Planing on making lighting effects for lasers? Would be totally cool to see a luth dread decloak, put a shadow on a tiny ship, then see it literally light up just before it explodes.
