could u copy and paste the crash report into this thread?
maybe the devs can find usefull information in there and tell us why its crashing or offer a solution to stop it from crashing.

If you log out in space your ship is automatically docked at the nearest friendly SY planet.

well that is annoying having to spawn from what ever that planet might be and the fight could be 3 systems over and have a SY in that system as well... either way would still like to know why this is crashing everytime i leave the MV. its really wierd.

It's just a DirectX error. Nothing to worry about. Heroes of Newerth has the same issue on Windows 7. Having said that, I don't have the crash on my W7 x64 install, so I'm guessing it might have something to do with not having DX9 installed (it runs on an emulation layer of DX11 if you don't). Getting the same error, or alike that on all but one 64x machine.
My workstation with the Matrox card doesn't appear to be affected.
Like Jack said it looks like a DX9 issue on 64bit systems.
No clue how it happens, no clue how to solve it.

As Jack said, Windows 7 (and Vista) come with DX 10/11, but they don't come with DX9, and instead emulate DX9 if you don't have it. This can in poor performance for games that use DX9, so I'd suggest installing DX 9.0c on general principles, particularly if your system doesn't like DX10.
The reason for all of this, I believe, is because while DirectX 9 and 10 are similarly numbered, they're completely different beasts and so they're not backwards-or-forwards compatible with each other.

But as gejaheline said, installing Dx9 on vista & 7 is still recommended.

yes i have DX9.0c installed. as its a staple install on most games
im not sure that this is the issue.... for me
might be for some, i would encourage people who dont have 9.0c to install it and see if this resolves the issue.

That's the same crash. Not sure why this thread is continuing... It's just an exception error when the client self-terminates - nothing crazy.
