Ok, as I was having this problem previously, I thought it was in connection with the other problem. The other problem was resolved.. what is left is this(its becomming VERY frequent)
Basically this is what happens.. Im chatting in the lobby...
then....
it gets silent....
I dont think much at first.. but then I remember the problem I have been having..
so to check if it IS this problem.. I either type a "/" command to get the servers attention, or i click the friends button... then I get this..
* Connection lost, attempting reconnect in 30 seconds...
Then i chat for a few second to a coupld of minutes the same thing happens..
* Connection lost, attempting reconnect in 30 seconds...
It is very annoying, and everything I have tried, short of wiping my hard drive clean, has not helped.
Also happens in the servers. I will be playing and I want to see what friends are online, or who someone is.. so I type /who blah or /friend list....
"Connecting to the Meta server please wait..." blah blah blah...
then I have to type it again... and i get it.. but i wait too long(about 5 minutes) and it disconnects and I have to do it again..
Keep in mind I can play just fine and everything its just the server that has the chat for the lobby and the "/" commands in the servers that is having issues.. I can still chat normal in the servers and play as well.. I just cant do the "/" in the servers and chat d/cs all the time in the lobby..
PLEASE HELP!!!!
Its annoying me..
im about to go crazy and just start breaking things...

Ok, do you have a firewall? If so, turn it off and see if the problem continues, probably wont be a firewall problem though. Try rebooting your modem, or PC, might fix it. Not sure if this is an internet problem, or ds, might try reinstalling DS if it continues, all I can help with : Good Luck.

thats screams at mea as being some form of router config issue. Try allowing ports 9000-9010 and 9100-9110 for DS and DS beta, it might fix it.

go to the conection details and look up when your lease is obtained and when it expires, if this is happening like clock work and syncs with the lease length you may have to call your isp to request longer lease times
