Hi, if one is subscribed in the game, they could docked 12 ships, of which if it is modded for all the 12 ships, & if for some reasons one did not continue with the subscription, one cannot play the game without first removing 4 ships with their modded parts, think the admins gotta look into this problem
& let the player removes the modded parts first before scrapping the ship.
Thanks.

It's a way to force you to throw away over $40 in DS Credits if all four are fully modded, or start subbing again. I usually equip my four extra ships on other factions, so I don't fill up my storage if it gets close to ending my sub.
Math is 6000 for rainbow engine and 800 for each of the remaining 7 slots times 4 for the slots. (800 * 7 + 6000) * 4. 1000 credits is roughly worth $1. [ This Message was edited by: TroyMars on 2016-06-09 22:32 ]

There is nothing to do with this.
It's player's responsibility to remove the enhancement before the deadline.
It also serves as a reason to continue paying subscription.

Pay, or lose over $40 in enhancements. Sounds wonderful. Opps. You forgot it was due? too bad. Now you have to pay, or lose over $40.
Trust me when I say they could easily implement a less harsh way to thank former subscribers than a forceful boot out the door.

It isn't harsh at all, and it's incredibly silly to argue over.
You park your car in a parking lot and pay for two hours, but you stay there for three hours. Now you want to leave, but you can't until you pay for the third hour. Is that harsh? No.. it's just the way it is. Would you argue with the parking attendent over that? Hopefully not.
A forceful boot out the door? Nobody is forcefully booting anyone anywhere. You can still play the game. It's as easy as scrapping the excess ships in the extended ship storage which you are no longer paying for...OR....resubscribe for $4.99 to regain access to the extended storage.

And then all the sudden you cant use ANY of the other 8 cars at your house. Makes total sense. XD

Nobody is talking about your house.
We are talking about a server.
8 storage slots are provided to you completely free of charge, even though they take up disk storage on the server, which cost money. If you ask me, that is pretty gracious.
Additional storage is provided when you subscribe, and is subsequently revoked when you discontinue your subscription. What about that does not make sense?
Either 1. resubscribe to regain access to extended ship storage.
2. Scrap the excess ships in your storage.
Nothing more really needs to be said about this.

You make throwing away over $40 like it's no big deal. The original 8 slots should obviously never be locked.

Sorry that you feel that way, but IMO when you spend money on any video game it should be money that you have to "throw away" and not make a stink over when things arent precisely as you feel they should be.
The solutions have been given. The method to prevent such things from happening in the future has been explained. Yet you still feel the need to argue about it and I'm beginning to believe that you're doing it merely for the sake of argueing. I honestly shouldn't even have to tell you this--try to keep in mind that this game is managed and developed by a group of VOLUNTEERS. Showing appreciation for the time dedicated by those individuals rather than complaints is far more motivating. [ This Message was edited by: Riley! on 2016-06-21 14:21 ]

Many Subscribers have complained about this very subject. If sorry bout your luck is the best you got, then you should be demoted. If enough people complain, you will have to change.

You're clearly not seeing things from our point of view, and are doing nothing to advance this thread.

If the mods on ships were returned to storage, than the issue is gone. The problem is that you dont get a chance to spawn anytthing to strip it. If you could do so in garage than maybe that could help.
Enhancements represent a real payed for asset, something that has "real world" value, theoretically. Saying otherwise is just telling us not to buy them (as they would then not be "worth anything").
Saying that I should expect that my money is wasted is not a proper answer. For a dying game like this, its a horrible approach.

I agree with that...
Until something like that is implemented, probably best bet is to remove them manually before sub ends (like was already suggested) or submit a ticket about it (as I saw was a solution in another thread)

A credit return with depriciation on damaged parts would help avoid storage being filled if you're fleet locked.
