A few Q's for clarification |

Just a few things that I am unclear of, and have heard a few others ask as well.
1. What is the intended criteria for AI to show up? How is it intended to be balanced, as in on what basis is the ai numbers augmented? I ask for intended so we can gauge whether it is working as intended, but also so that the players are clear themselves.
2. What ships are inteded to be used for planet capturing. Platforms and stations do not contribute, correct? Does a tranny have more value than a bomber cruiser? Does a combat dread contribute more than bomber dread? Does class matter?
3. If I were to work on some gadget art, what kind of program is needed for Medusa to import it for that purpose? I have several programs. Im bored. I need projects.

I think I can at least answer #3. If I recall, the development tools support normal image types. I'd suggest either an uncompressed format, or TIFF

1. AI ships will spawn based on the rank of the players in a given faction, if 3 captains login to ICC, a captain is worth 5 points for a total spawn score of 15. This means, the team spawners will spawn 15 points worth of ships on the UGTO and/or K'Luth spawners provided there is actually a shipyard or gate aligned with that faction for them to spawn from. The spawners use the rank requirement of a ship to determine it's value worth spawning, so 15 ships might be 15 scouts, or just one dreadnaught.
2. So far as I remember, all ships are equal in value for capping a planet.
3. Just about all image formats are supported (JPG,PNG,TGA,BMP,etc), obviously a losless format is best like TGA or BMP.

Ships with bombs have more capturing value, and engineer ships have more defending/holding value.
