Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there already is or is it possible that each faction could have a Teamspeak Channel set up by DarkSpace Devs?
Also, as players would you use it? Imagine the teamwork that could be accomplished, imagine the lack of communication gone between players during a campaign....
What do you think?

Could see it easily being abused. Hypothetically, I could just stealth join the channel as an anonomous player and feed information back to whoever. Not saying I would do such a thing, but I've seen it abused in other games (Dayz is just an example) and don't wanna see that happen here.

When I was in The Brotherhood we had some really great teamwork and would occasionally use Ventrilo to coordinate K'luth strikes.
It's a lot of fun and I'd definitely recommend it.

I agree. It's a credit to Jack for setting one up along side DS. It's worth listening to Deckard, I really think he is on to something here. There needs to be an In Game channel, that people don't have to go out of their way to set up.
If you build it.. they will come

Back in the day the game client supported voice comms (we were the first MMO to have this, I don't know if other multiplayer games at the time did).
However, due to the extremely bandwidth cost for us, the amount of bandwidth it used for players (these were 56k days remember), the fact it had to be low quality due to that, and the fact we couldn't police it due to there being no logs (it is just not technically feasible to log audio), it was disabled.
There's no way to really add this sort of thing without substantial work. So whilst it would be really nice and awesome and we'd love to do it, the reality is that we're a very small team, and this would be a ridiculously long long long long long long long way away if it were ever to be implimented.
The best solution is to setup your own Ventrilo, Mumble, or Teamspeak server for your own use and invite those you want into it.
You have to realise that even nowadays you don't see many games coming out with in-game voice comms. There are solutions already available which are better suited to your needs. [ This Message was edited by: Pantheon on 2013-03-16 20:52 ]
