I do not understand why the suggestions have to be done outside the forum in a place that no one enters.

I think it was because the "latest topic" was getting flooded with "do this now" style messages. Also Uservioce has pre-existing infrastructure for things like voting. Though I'm not a dev, so my answers not certain.

I agree.
Also, another thing I dislike about uservoice is that it has no way to vote against something.
Personally, I thought that google moderator(or whatever was used after the suggestions forum was closed and before uservoice) was best.

dont want uservoice as a suggestion site?
post a suggestion on uservoice for changing to another site
players definitely visit uservoice to monitor suggestions.
google murderator did not give devs much control for handling suggestions and the site in general (from what i remember)
not being able to vote against is a drawback of uservoice systems. but the number of votes give some indication of how many players like a suggestion, and how much do they like it.
as said above, if you dont want darkspace.uservoice.com... suggest some other site. and remember,
make suggestions only on the prescribed suggestion site (darkspace.uservoice.com)! [ This Message was edited by: Raje on 2012-08-17 09:39 ]

Google Moderator was... ill tooled to support our needs. We looked at the available options and Uservoice was the best available without having to shell out huge amounts of cash.
Most suggestions made on here were by one or two people, had no ability to be voted on and flooded the Latest Topics with topics, meaning it was easy to miss something.
Having an off-site suggestion solution means we don't dilute the content that's on here. The honestly terrible suggestions that were made unbelievably often have also been cut down because people don't want to spend a few extra clicks to make them. If someone honestly believes their suggestion is decent, they will go the extra few clicks - so we weed out a lot of suggestions that weren't worth looking over.
You may not like it, but from our end it has been FAR more valuable than what we had before. The quality of suggestions has improved and we can see who wants what.
It's here to stay for now, and we won't be changing our choice of Uservoice. [ This Message was edited by: Pantheon on 2012-08-17 10:14 ]
