Same map? |

Is it still the same map in the metaverse as it has been since like... a year ago?

I think it should be smaller.
4 systems total.
1 system per faction
1 uber system in the middle that could be a massive battle ground. But have all the things in it. Nebuls, astriods etc...
Everything already takes place in 3 systems no sense on having a big map no one uses.

Also have it so you can WH within a system but not between systems. the best battles of the past were gate battles but now you can just bypass the gates.

I'd like that if every system was connected to each other with jump gates. Instead of having to get from point A to C, you must go through B. Every one just ends up fighting at B (aka the middle) and it stagnates.

waht would be nice would be more spacial hazards like minture black hole's that randomly from in systems near planets could do things like the new dictors on ships ect maybe some astroid belts around planets make fighting at them more intresting if u gotta watch out for that huge chunck of rock coming at u

WH are fine infact being able to WH between systems makes them very useful for tatical fleet movements

Yes but being able to defend a system at the game makes for some epic battles.

The thing is, i couldnt find a planet to construct my new dread for example, none of them had enough res, except for one, back there almost on the home systems.
If we make the map smaller, there will be lack of res, lack of inf, and we wont be able to feel that pleasure when advancing deep into enemy territory because most of the planets there wont be capturable to keep the game balanced, which sucks.
Home systems are for the newbs to learn while they fight AI in a safe place no dread can go, if we take them out of the MV every newb will get pwnt so hard they will ragequit... [ This Message was edited by: henry700 on 2012-08-12 21:08 ]

Damn not this thread again.
Look, everytime we downsize the map, we have a thread about how there isn't anything to explore, and that theres nothing to build and no where to go but one tiny area, so we make it bigger.
And then we make it bigger and then we have this thread.
Conclusion - you all have no clue what you really want.

The current map is fine how it is, you still see people attacking other systems when there's a lot on. When there's hardly anyone logged in MV there's really no point in attacking planets, so of course they're going to duke it out in Kaus.

MV is fine as it is. Most fights take place in the central system anyway.
And sometimes it will spill over into the Tetra, R33 or Dres-Kona.
The outer system are your bastion systems. The ones where you can still spawn from should you get your asses kicked from the inner systems. Take that away and you get evicted from Sag pretty quick.

As much as I'd hate to say it. I'd prefer this map than the one we currently have. At least there was variety of where you could attack and defend.
