i don't know about you guys but i used scanners to detect incoming missiles and fighters now that that they are removed i am finding it hard to pd missiles and fighters. or even see them.

i suggest you guys bring scanners back but allow them to give a bonus to early detection.

also if K'luth can cloak in 15seconds or less i suggest that pinging should cycle every 5 secs and it could be showed like the blue recharge status flashing a count down then starting over.

since ecm is always active i suggest their range be limited to 150 gu just to encompass the ship that is using it. also it shouldn't stack ships should get a signature % change cased on the number of devices.

for example if i have a sign of 25 one ecm reduces that to 12.5 50%, 2 ecm reduces the 12.5 buy 50%. and all ships should be limited to 2 with devices and engines increasing sign so the effect won't be a perfect sensor cloak.

i am not complaining about cloak but K'luth get alot of bonuses
1. the cloak
2. infinite ammo core weapons
3. heavy beams as standard weapons across all ships
4. cruisers that have more weapons than ICC/UGTO dreads
5. Faster jump drives/cruiser engines
6. hull repair(why all factions don't have this i can't understand)
7. fighters with disruptors(which sucks since they are probably the ones used in all ships)
8. too many beams across all their ships

if i missed anything please let me know

heavy armor is a bgi bonus i think. ever tryed a life of a luth? it gets you killed if you stay uncloaked for too long, and even that cant save us sometimes.

Scanners are still in the game as far as I know, they are no longer interchangeable with ECM/ECCM

When scanner disappear from some ships, it improves server's performance as the client doesn't request to receive information of all objects within 5000gu. ECCM raises the signature of object within 400gu, enough to PD missles. When you ship fails to do so:
- it doesn't have enough beam gadgets;
- beam angle;
- beam cooldown;
- beam recharges.

There is one thing I agree with you, Kluth needs a limited ammunition of core weapon.

Just two things:
1. Support Station should have it's extra scanner replaced with ECCM.
2. The visual effect of ECM (flashy green rings) should be removed. Aside from engine trail and full F2 visibility, ships don't need another "Hey, I'm here!" gadget.

Really? Didn't know that. Don't play uggies much.

Anyway, wouldn't make a diff if SIs had ammo too. Most Kluth need to resupp/repair after an attack run anyway.

yea i forgot QST had inf ammo, to be fair either they get ammo or increased reload times due to that fact that they have to charge.

other than that yea my point about the K'luth is they have too many beam weapons across all their ships if you get hit with an alpha your getting hulled not to mention their beams last for what seems like forever.

vs cl beams that have a very short fuse if you will.

also with the scanners maybe you can have a fleet support ship using frigates and corvettes, giving them a ecm/eccm that can cover a larger area cause right now you only see those ships under special occasions.

please redo the ship to ship repair system

i suggest a series of changes to the supply ships
Supply Frigate-1 repair drone,

Destroyer-2 repair drones,

Cruiser-2 repair drones but with increased drones,

Dread 3 reload drones and good anti missile abilities(and 6 cannons for anti ship) Could also make this a Carrier(K-8 fighters/bombers,I-8/10 bombers/fighters, U-10 bombers/fighters) since carriers are usually fleet command and control ships they have the most space for fleet support.

Station just give the Support station one more reload drone. also increased range to either 350-500gu

or

make a combined engineering/supply ship with 4 drones comes in 2 versions 2 drones for the crappy low level one and 4 for VA and up

also make all supply ships the same just use different hulls no need to make they have different layouts would be pointless.

We just need one scanning device since ecm and the scanner do the same thing. All ships need over hauling.
