Subject: The Mycopia Incident
An unexplained and tragic incident occurred at Mycopia today at approximately 07:42 Galactic Time (11:10 pm EST). After our successful repelling of the ICC offense, several ships in our fleet were repairing at the depots of Michelle in the Luyten system when all communications with UGTO field offices on Mycopia were suddenly cut off. Sensors indicated that the thriving planet of 80 million souls was suddenly reduced to a planet with only 2 million faint life signs. Much of the infrastructure and 28 of 32 Courageous Elite Commando infantry units were wiped clean off the planetary surface.
We mourn the tragic and unnecessary deaths of the civilian population of Mycopia and the loyal units of our brother fleet CEC.
Whatever external force that was responsible for this unprovoked attack also managed to erase the memories of all of the surviving research staff on the planet, reducing its technological capability level to 0. It was also able to either destroy or take all of the mining resources of the planet.
Several moments after the incident was noticed, a MI Praetorian-class cruiser was detected and was promptly destroyed by the UGTO ship Kuroyami. It is unknown whether the MI were responsible for this incident or if their appearance was simply a coincident. Intelligence officers in the Galactic Navy familiar with MI technology are sceptical that the MI have the ability to cause this planetary-wide damage.
In addition, long-range sensor readings of the planet Arcona, an ICC-held planet in the Luyten system that has yet to be liberated by the UGTO, show that every structure and occupying troops was destroyed, along with all planetary resources. Clinging to life are 9 million humans, out of an estimated 60 million right before the attacks. It is unknown at this time how many of the 9 million lives on Arcona are UGTO citizens and how many are ICC settlers. A general communication requesting for information was sent on all unclassified channels to the ICC, but no response was received.
All UGTO Fleet Commanders are advised to keep notice of all such incidences and submit reports of all observations directly to Vice Chancellor Kitashiro.

Good idea: making the MI all scary by giving them a crazy super weapon
Bad idea: giving MI a crazy super weapon that is then used to destroy every SY ICC has in Tau Ceti/Sag server.

30 minutes after I was done building Ursovica as an sy planet, it got wiped, along with Mycopia AGAIN and Zeelandia.
There were also reports that a few ICC controlled planets were also wiped, though there were no reports of the K'luth having this kind of problem.
Right before the wipe, it was observed that a heavily damaged MI Longhead was fleeing the Zoca cluster, but was shot down by planetary fire.

MI longhead observed leaving farstay (planet was utterly destroyed, zero everything, from resources to inf to structures) heading in direction of fargo rock. at this time argrea had also been destroyed
MI longhead was intercepted by 3-4 ICC cruisers at a little over 1kgu from fargo rock. the longhead ignored them.
the longhead gained orbit of fargo rock and obliterated the colony in a single shot. a blue explosion was reported. shortly thereafter the ICC cruisers managed to destroy it.
10-15 minutes later a new, fully functional longhead was detected 5kgu from luyten gate, heading again to fargo rock (which had just been rebuilt). ICC successfully engaged and destroyed before it posed a serious threat.
This is a serious issue, as an UGTO and Kluth fleet were present in Tau Ceti around the time of these events, and could have easily taken advantage of the fact that all ICC SYs in Tau had been destroyed to attack. ICC in fact lost Farstay for a short time after reconstruction had begun to a cloak tranny rush (which happened so fast i hadnt even realized the planet was invaded)

As always, any mention of MI is to be classified level Rho, in accordance with the Grand Chancellor's standing instructions and Navy Intelligence protocols. Please keep this in mind when reporting the events of the preceding communication to your subordinates, as standing orders from the Grand Chancellor also call for the execution or permanent incarceration of all non-cleared individuals who hear of the MI. Those who find themselves incapable of maintaining these sorts of security procedures will find themselves being visited by myself, and myself shall be very unhappy.
Analytical divisions of Navy Intelligence believe that the Machine Intelligence has stepped up its campaign against humanity and developed some form of powerful beam weapon capable of drilling through the crust of planets, causing a multitude of natural disasters ranging from tectonic shifts and eathquakes to the ignition of atmosphere, wiping out huge swathes of planetary assets at a stroke. Additionally, the electromagnetic flux created by such a weapon is capable of wiping electronic storage media and causing extensive brain damage to personnel planetwide, which can be treated by modern medicine but will typically cause permanent memory loss to those affected.
The effects of this weapon upon warships is currently unknown, although one suspects that it shall be rather unpleasant. All reports related to encounters with the MI are, as per usual, to be routed to Navy Intelligence.
