It appears that everybody stops caring and just goes to scenario. That or just stop playing. Does this typically happen, and if so, how does anybody manage to gain lost ground when they get kicked out?

the balance always tips back eventually, just give it some time and you will see....

It happens typically, yes. Lately it's mostly been ICC on the bad end of the scale, but UGTO's on it occassionally, too.
You regain lost ground by bombing hostile planets by spawning from the gate and shipping infantry from distant systems, such as Cassiopeia or Ursa Minor.
Scenario is because some people think it's fun to gatecamp with an Interdictor, so players get fed up and go for Scenario.
Usually it's best to either wait it out, or talk to faction members about organising an assault to take back homeworlds. Or wait for opposing factions to go to sleep so you can recap lost ground uncontested.

Haha, and he thinks he's seen "bad days" for the ICC.

Mostly because ICC aren't built to fight K'Luth. Since they are easy targets for K'Luth and are the most visible target to UGTO. ICC gets the short end of the stick, being double teamed and all.
Usually the reason why I attack UGTO while I am on K'Luth and just toy with ICC.

I personally don't care about getting kicked out of sag, i go to other servers, but the icc activity level has gone wayyyyy down.
Oh and yeah i don't even target kluth, i just go for UGTO. No point in shooting something that will cloak in 5 seconds.

At the moment ICC is in Cass, fighting for their very survival. Quite a few of them.

When the single server model that will come out, it will be a big change of perspective.
Since you'll basically be playing in an entire, visible MV at once, its hard to be "kicked out" of anywhere. It will be as if everything is Sag now.
A big help indeed, will see alot more activity in what was once home servers.

There you make a mistake: ICC has the best abilitys to combat Kluth,
a few Assault Dreads could deal with them.
But nothing can stop a 24 hour Bomb and tranny rush by Kluth.

Why do you say that ICC is best equipped to fight K'luth?
Because of our extra EW slots? Those are gone now.
ICC isn't so great up close and personal, and K'luth have the easiest time avoiding missiles and choosing their engagement ranges. I like K'luth, I like hit and run tactics, I like having cloakers in the game. I just don't know how to balance all this out.

Tis because the change from the old everything is on one server once it gets back that way it shouldnt be a problem

actually i prefer to fight luth over icc,
you said icc is most visible to ugto,
the converse is true, we are most visible to icc
and with luth you can usually get through the armor and straight to the hull for pres

i have a simple solution give RAVEN and PB what they want, a meta verse with no ICC, i think it would be funny to see all ICC and UGTO fleets go K'luth have the K'luth win, then see how much they like it then when they are the only faction.

The ICC ADs can stand stil together and turn shields to front, trying to get as CLOSE as possible and keep each other guarded.
UGTO EADs have to keep
their speed up if they dont want to get fried on one side,
this makes it even harder to hit the cloaking Kluth.
I havent seen to many UGTO vs Kluth fights, maybe i am wrong.
But i have seen many times how a few compact ADs prevail against the same or even more numbers of Kluth Dreads.
EAD again have an easy game with ADs.

thats exactly what we want removal of the humans. So finnaly we can claim victory over the monkeys. Then the humans will bow to their new kluth masters and become our slaves
