Now that DS is F2P, whats gonna happen to the fleets? |

I've been thinking, now that DS is F2P, would you be able to join a fleet now or are they still gonna be reserved for subscription? Even though all our flags say SUBSCRIBED. This occured to me after I was checking out the fleets.

Well so far it seems that altough DS is F2P now you still need to be subsrcribed because at the moment im not subbed and when i checked the fleets thinking the same thing as you it said that i needed to be subcribed to create a fleet

Creating and joining fleets requires the [SUBSCRIBED] flag. If you have this (look in the top right hand corner in GCQL), you can create and join fleets . [ This Message was edited by: BackSlash on 2010-03-13 03:57 ]

We are still in the process of changing everything over. At the moment DS is set to free trial mode to allow everyone to get above 1RA. Once we have made necessary coding changes etc we will let you know what the go is with fleets and all other subscriber limited activities.

Subscription flags have now been removed from fleet requirements.

Possible fleet options:
Re-adding a fleet treasury.
Any member can donate to this treasury.
Credits will NOT be able to be taken from the treasury by any member, even Fleet Administrators.
Changing faction requiring credits in treasury, based on member numbers and ranks.
Purchasable 'Command Abilities' for command ships.
Purchasable 'area of effect' or 'in-orbit' bonuses for owned planets.
Only 5 members slot by default. More slots would be purchasable in groups of 5 via treasury credits.
Being able to 'buy' a fleet forum, once you have over a certain number of members.
Whatever else we can think of to make fleets a little more interesting.
