OK, if you read my response to JBud challange, my idea is a Royal Rumble.
There will be six classes, Scout, Frigate, Destroyer, Cruiser, Dread, and last but not least the super heavy weight Station.
Now, if you are willing to enter the event (this may not fly, depends on the staff at palestar) please post here, and give me your selections for Faction and ship in each of the classes.
Now, ICC will get 2 classes, UGTO will get 2, and K'luth will get 2.

No need for Palestar's approval, this event is completely feasible as a player-run event.

one of the staff has to approve the prizes, and set the event into the upcoming events...
They usually go with the suggested prizes, I would try to contact Shigernafy, Tael or Drafell about help with that stuff...

Prizes and event listings are superflous, if you spread the word out youself, there is no need for any staff help(however convinient it might be).

Let me know if you have a date and I can set an event listing and post a news item (though I probably won't do a news item until after the soonest upcoming event passes). We can talk about prizes and such details too.
